If Windows had all the features which the linux/mac guys want and worked exactly the same way,its the same geeks who now rant against MS who would be trying to create a new OS..different from Win/Mac/*nix.. Windows has its own way of doing things and so does everybody else. We should either accept it and move on or keep bickering for ever.
I make it clear that I am a mac guy and I just feel disoriented on Windows. But if one day i want a change, my only option should not be a Linux or Unix based distro.
It seems that you've been living two lives. One life, you're Thomas A. Anderson, program writer for a respectable software company. You have a social security number, pay your taxes, and you... help your landlady carry out her garbage. The other life is lived in computers, where you go by the hacker alias "Neo" and are guilty of virtually every computer crime we have a law for. One of these lives has a future, and one of them does not.
I'm sorry, I just watched matrix today again, so all my comments today might reflect it..i will go back to my cave till i'm off it.....
Ok,I propose a new scientific measure. bs is the ratio of number of barrels of gasoline it will take to create a barrel of gasoline from bullshit(of the organic variety) I think the current process will be about 30bs on absolute scale
I would like to see an application that can work online and offline with same ease. We, at my firm, had tried an app using java which worked standalone when network was loaded and became online when there was less congestion. Our internal network was so slow that the application was standalone most of the time. That was India and year was 2000.
Now Ajax looks like a good solution for a long forgotten problem.
'I want the people responsible for those features in my office early next week'
Somebody is going to practice throwing chairs during the weekend..and many others are gonna practice ducking them...
