ARG! That is one of the most often misquoted phrases... The correct quote is: "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." -- George Santayana I guess it's a minor detail, but still...
Thats a good idea. People who are not very computer literate can just get the Firefox-Plus version which can have some good extensions while other people can choose exactly what they want to install.
I never said that I didn't think there was a problem. In fact, I think there probably is. I was just raising some questions on how valid the experiment was.
The researchers studied 40 volunteers in a driving simulator.
Only 40 volunteers? That seems like a fairly small sample size...
Also, in a driving simulator, the subjects probably don't care as much about driving safely and such. In addition, how good was the simulation of driving?
The cross in San Diego was quite offensive. It made me feel unwelcome because I am not Christian. It was on government property and could be seen by a lot of the city. Although it was an obvious violation of the separation of church and state, a judge had to order it removed many times before it was taken down.
Religion is quite a bad thing IMO. Believing in a god is harmless for the most part. However, many wars have been started over religion (eg. the crusades). The real problem with religion is corrupt/stupid religious leaders who do not respect other people's beliefs or lack thereof.
Also, why believe in god? I might as well believe in the invisible pink elephant in the room. (Not that it is possible to be invisible and pink, but most religious beliefs contain irrational/impossible components.)

I don't think there is a problem with people believing in whatever thing they want. They just shouldn't try to make other people believe in it if they don't want to and they shouldn't kill other people for what they believe.
And that's the sensor net that offers the best hope we have of combating terrorism. The clerk at the store, the landlord they rent from, the agent at the ticket counter, the hotel clerk, rental car company, bell hops, and neighbors.
Wow... Be careful with that...
Do you want people getting investigated or jailed because of "tips" from neighbors? That reminds me of the "Reign of Terror" during the French revolution and Nazi Germany. That is a very slippery slope...
What is going on in the US?!? How did we get here? What happened? Where is liberty and justice? The government is going totalitarian, the legal system is corrupt, global warming may already be irreversible, and we are completely dependent on oil. The world is in bad shape and seems to be getting worse.
Why is most of America complacent? The Slashdot crowd seems to know and care about what is happening... but most Americans? They couldn't care less so long as the television is uninterrupted.

This is one of the nice things about Camino (as a Cocoa application, it gets access to OS X's builtin spellchecking), but it might not stack up will against the current build of Firefox in terms of other features.
There is always spellbound. I've been using the development version (which works with Firefox 1.5) and I have found it to be excellent. It may be nicer to have built in spell checking but spellbound is a good alternative. (And it works on most OS's)
The problem with that kind of thinking is that it snowballs. Every sperm and egg (even unfertilized) has the potential to be a sentient being. By your argument you need to save every single sperm and egg! This seems neither morally right nor possible.
Another thing: If Christians think that a human has rights and is alive at conception, then why do they celebrate birthdays? Why not conception days?

If you RTFA, you find that some of the people who had the problem used IE.
great! i'll believe it when it happens, though...
Yeah, but does it run linux?
Its all about the flying spaghetti monster, man!

Reason #4 - It's from Micro$uck - so it has to suck. Unless its a vacuum cleaner, of course.

Yes... but it is the latest tech! Since when did people start demanding that new products are better than older versions of the same product?
I want one! But how much will they cost? (no I didnt RTFA)
