I, too, was worried about Apple using this patent practically. They could even, then, include an SD card/USB port on their iDevices. That would be a bummer, because their infamous lack of connectivity helps in there being more apps in the Play Store.

Linux has such an un-even and scattershot userland that I doubt it's regularly built all the way up from source as a unified system in that many instances. BSD, on the other hand (or, at least NetBSD which I am most familiar with) can be built, the whole kernel and core userland, from a single CVS tag checkout.

The MIT adventure game is on just about any freenix machine. It's part of the 'BSD Games' package on Slackware (at least it was on the last version I used) and is a default part of the system on NetBSD (the 'adventure' program in /usr/games). It would be a little silly to re-port it yet another time.

Nobody explicitly said Obama 'took anything away.' His being a fascist pig still stands.

Somewhere else in this thread somebody spoke of Obama choosing not to enforce DOMA provisions because he 'judged it would not stand the test of the SCOTUS.' That was Obama judging, which is one one of his administrative powers. Hence the 'fascist pig' label.
