    A couple of years ago I was involved in a product recall of a server line where a backplane could overheat and start to burn. There were three cases among a few thousand shipped and the cause was a PCB made in China. Nothing new here, it's probably a matter of statistics now that this stuff is made by the gazillions.

    Same here. AM3/AM3+ also support ECC RAM in general which is kinda important for file servers.

    You can have a dozen terminal windows on screen (OK, it's usually only 3 to 5 for me.) Each with multiple tabs, each tab running tmux. Yay.

    konsole for the record but it doesn't matter much.

    If they weren't such a security risk and such an annoyance I wouldn't have blocked them years ago, including blackholing all ad hosts via the hosts file.

    At work I have a box with 64GB RAM. I configure VMs with 50GB filesystems so they usually fit completely in RAM. The performance is nice :(
