You have to remember that Blizzard, or any game company, only have to make CG sequences that are a few minutes long (I dont know how long, but I bet it's less than 25 minutes). They don't have the time to put into crafting a long cinema, then rendering it. I believe that most of the reason that Pixar's animation of the same calibre, besides for the 'CG' look and feel that they want their movies to have, is that they are trying to make a 120-160 minute movie. You have to put in much more time into even just the rendering on a few seconds of higher quality models and textures and stuff.
Lets look at 'The Lord of the Rings', the CG in that is top notch, rarely can you tell when a person is CG vs real, this is obtained because they have the time and budget and ambition and need to make the CG look as realistic as posible.
Why is he an idiot? VNC runs on Windows, until I read this thread I didn't even know that it could run on Linux. We used it at my High School to keep tabs on the users in the labs.
Now-a-days, I use the Remote Assistants feature in Windows/MSN Messenger. This would probibly work better in a company using LiveCommunication Server to acutally run their messenging client though.
I'm supprised how many people dont want to put time into farming (and I can't blame them). That is why the RMTs will always be around, a simple supply and demand: as long as people want to be able to buy gil, then the marketers will be around to supply them.
The only time I ever see this ending is when the game itself supports an exchange rate between the real world and the game world. Then people can put their money they earn IRL into the game to spend the same way they would if they were going to another country (or pull money out to buy their groceries).
I bet the kids that are out on the streets everyday in their gangs, stealing and dealing drugs, aren't going home at night and getting their kicks by playing these games. The people who play these games are the ones with time on their hands and money in their pockets. Those copkilling gangs are out doing crap, not sitting on their couches playing the newest game.
I would like to see the stats on how many people (say 13-25) who play violent video games actually try to recreate the scenarios IRL.
I can't wait to see how this generation that has grown up on video games handles their children playing video games. It'll be very educational for our society.
This game's a little nastier with no clear morality, actual graphic death, and a glorification of the "thug life."

Hmm, just like real life. No clear morality, actual death, glorification of the "thug life" through higher wages. Thats how poor our society is.
My computer needs to be on all the time, as it is my primary means of communication with people. If my computer is not up, there would be no way for anyone to leave me messages or read my away message to see where I'm at.
Home console software sales were actually down 12% in 2005.
Could it be because consumers are spending more money on home/portable console hardware?
I'm just agreeing with others who say that it is other factors besides pirating.
I really do buy games to support companies. I bought Doom3 and Sims2 the opening day to show my support for those types of games. Sadly though, I jumped the gun on BF2. It pains me to have supported such an inferior sequal.
The chainsaw controller would work so much better on the Revolution where you could acutally swing it around, not that you can get a chainsaw in the game anyway. A great thing to add when they inevitably release an updated RE4 on the Revolution.

The probability of finding a mate that is beautiful, athletic, smart and on top of that would be interested in *you* are so small...
That is what communism is good for, the government needs to force the beutiful women to breed with the smart men.
