Maybe it's just mine, or the fact that I bought them from The Great Evil (aka Best Buy), but instead of doing the logical "my light flashes on when I'm reading/writing," it does the opposite. The light is automatically on, unless it's reading/writing, then it goes off. It blinks so quickly, I stare at the light and wonder "is it still doing r/w? Can I take it out?"
It's like they want to force you to use the OS drive-eject function.
