Hate to tell you this but the economic divestiture was a key in stimulating the local(South African) economy. It made us self reliant to the point of being an export country. Now that all the barriers are down South Africa is in the worst shape it has ever been.
If you want to persuade China to change it's views and principles then don't buy chinese. Official boycotting doesn't work.
