Might be off topic but....
Wish Bell Labs was still truckin.... All those public works patents made the world a better place and the R&D staff were compensated well. The failure of the firm though is just another instance of business executives and politicians banding together to ruin a strong and truly beneficial company.
This article was published in 2000 and it concerned Windows 2000 machines. We're almost two operating systems ahead of that. Does anyone know whether or not China actually found any 'backdoor' code in the Windows 2000 OS or if they've changed the operating system which government officials use?
