BMW spends millions designing, developing, maunfacturing, producing, and marketing a very good product. They throw in some scripts on their web site that Google thinks is naughty. So, I would guess, also, BMW does not spend a lot of money advertising on Google?
Verizon wants to get into the TV cable business. Most of the TV is a one way broadcast that will fit on a chunk of one fiber pipe. That one pipe is then tapped where the broadcast needs to be dribbled out to a TV. In the big picture, that doesn't use up a very high percentage of the fiber out there. With wireless, power utilities, and traditional cable tv companies among others all competing for the same customers bandwith needs, Verizon looks to have its hands full just staying in business.
My guess is what the government is going after is the call records of all the numbers that the suspected terrorists were in possession of and then the call records of the "friend of the friend of the terrorist". That second list (much larger) would be a tough call for a judge to sign off on a warrant. As Mr.Bush senior was so fond of saying, then you connect the dots.
Verizon DSL inquiry:
Customer- "I wanna buy DSL!"
Verizon sales rep- "Thats too far out man!"
Customer- "Whaddaya mean. I'm next door to your office."
Verizon sales rep- "Thats far out too man!"
One share of Google... $367.92 One share of Verizon... $31.50 Using FUD to get gobs of free publicity about potential future profit... PRICELESS!
