Absolutely. Its not Microsofts fault at all in this case. If you uninstall it, and you have docs in the DOCX format, you instal the Office 2007 Compatibility pack which is freely available on their website. Sheesh people. Stop being so damn lazy.
Yet again, the Anti-Microsoft minority has cottoned on the bandwagon. And once again, its going the wrong way. Windows For Warships, like ALL of its bretheren, is an OPERATING SYSTEM. Wouldn't it be logical to assume that BAE has developed applications that sit on top of this OS? Yes! It would! It's a kernel. Plain and simple. In almost ALL cases, the reason the Windows kernel dies is driver incompatibility, and/or badly written applications. BAE would have spent millions making sure all their 'drivers' and 'applications' were 100% stable and certified. More than say, NVidia, or DLink would for instance. This is massively positive step forward for any Navy. It will increase efficiency, reliability, responsiveness and accuracy of these massive war machines and in the end, increase safety. As for using Sun, or another OS, why risk this billion dollar investment to a pooly supported, and badly implemented OS. Tried and true is the call of the day.
Macs are great. Until you want to do something. Sorry. Nothing will ever replace the Windows PC. Theres no substantial range of products for Macintosh and there never will be. If you want to burn music or view photos or something along those lines, by all means, get a mac, but if you want your computer to do something useful, get a PC. Simple as that. Sorry Scott Finnie.
Clearly a basic understanding of orbital physics is requred here. Last time i checked, (and not much has changed) the moon's mass and size made it impossible to maintain a geostationary orbit around it, so that sort of GPS technology that is used on Earth wouldn't be possible.
This is the beginning of the end for YouTube...
