  2. Decline of Wii Sales on Nintendo and the Decline of Hardcore Gaming · · Score: 1

I just read an article the other day about the declining Wii sales in Japan. Wouldn't that say casual gaming is declining? I would think that if Wii sales in Japan are going down and PS3 is going up, there is still hope for the hardcore gamers!

That doesn't seem that out of character to me. I mean if you think about it the Sith are all about the apprentice trying to over take the master. If he fails that could be the reason he never thinks of trying to over take the emperor again until Return of the Jedi.

  4. Re:Yet another win for Nintendo on PS3 8x More Power Hungry Than PS2 · · Score: 1
"The PS3, on the other hand, only had to beat the PS2, the weakest console of the last gen. Not that hard to do, especially with Sony throwing everything it can into the PS3."

I am confused with how you can say that PS2 was the weakest console of the last generation. It was probably the best. The only thing that Microsoft beat Sony at was online marketplace. GameCube was a simple console and did well in its own right, but PS2 was definitely, not by any stretch of the imagination, the weakest console of the last generation.

If you are going by hardware sales the PS2 was finally surpassed by the Xbox in late 2004 for 2 months, but since then, PS2 has dominated the market except for a couple of months. Just to show one other statistic. Last year in December these where the numbers of consoles sold by each of the three companies: PS2 = 1,500,000... Xbox = 415,000...Gamecube = 606,423. Source

In 2004, 6 of the top 10 video games sold were for PS2. Not to mention the top 20 for 2005 where 12 of the 20 were for PS2.

Not to mention the controller. Until the new generation Playstation and Sony has had the best controller overall. Even if you don't like PS2, you must admit its design is probably the top. It will be interesting to see how the Wiimote will stand up to it.

  6. IQ Doesn't necessairly show intelligence on Slow Starters Have Higher IQ? · · Score: 1
IQ doesn't necessarily show how smart a person is or will be. That is also up to the personallity of that person. There are many people out there with 140+ IQ's but are lazy and do not work so they do not make the most of it or learn much, while there are those who have a 120 IQ and will work their butts off and become successful and actually learn more than the person with a higher IQ. For instance I go to school with a kid who was a math genius in high school and calculus based classes, but he doesn't do any work now and is not doing well in higher level courses. Intelligence is more than a number.

On another note, most of the standardized tests are given to see how well a person integrates into a society or given culture. A person with a higher SAT score will perform better in the collegiate culture than one with a lesser score. While those who have better GRE scores will perform better in graduate school. They do not necessarily test how smart a person is, but rather their ability to succeed at that level.
