  1. Re:Great Things for Wii on Wii Graphics 'Better Than At E3' · · Score: 1

Ah, last thing I heard, the Wii was definitely set at $249 from one of the Nintendo bigwigs. I'll try and find when they said that, but thanks for the info. I'm definitely getting one as soon as I can. Money's a little tough, but I'll definitely budget around it.

I think this is a great announcement for the Wii. I'm in the same camp that says that the Gamecube's graphical capabilities weren't always fully tapped, and I heard that saying when RE4 came out and blew my mind. To expect more Nintendo games with even better graphics AND the added gameplay possibilities of the Wii-mote delights me. I have to ask this, though. When did Nintendo announce the $200 pricepoint? My monitor fried and I've been away from the net for a while.

HEY! ... Send it to me instead of tossing it. I'm still on a 5700 Ultra.

Yeah, nice try on being funny. That joke's already played out, though. I think this will be what I need to get me interested in a Madden game, finally. I like football, but the games just seem too repetitive and random. Plus, I like the developer's thinking. They actually -want- to make innovative games finally. Yes it's football, but it's not the same ol' button-mashing that it's been since Madden's days on the SNES/Genesis. Thank you.

Isn't the Kentucky LAN the Million Man LAN? Oh, and to further promote the "Pro Gaming is not Dead" saying, I could list the hundreds of local LANs in Europe and Asia, and other main LANs like CPL Europe, CPL China, CPL Turkey, World E-sports Games (happening right now in China) where the winning CS team takes home 70,000 USD and I believe the winning WC3 player takes a similar large amount, the World Cyber Games that just recently were held in San Francisco, and of course, the upcoming World Series of Video Games. Yes, the cash prizes went down. But there are now more events to attend. Throw in the fact that the CPL just picked up AMD as its main sponsor (which means that both main processor designers are into eSports actively now), and I only see good things for our little niche.
