Did anyone else notice that they claim number of responses to be 27462, while if you add together "total responses" and "skipped this question" one gets an interval of [27462,27465]?
Taking together the statistics of it, you get the correct number most of the times but not always (2: 10 times, 3: 5 times, 4: 4 times and 5: 7 times).
I moved back home to a small country after living abroad for a few years. One of the first things I did was to fix my Internet bank (I had one which I had never used). So I went to the bank to fix the password and the banker asked me to give tell her the password so she could fill in a form. At this point my alarm went off but she told me this was the only way and I could always change it after I logged in so I played along.
So I started telling her some default password (note: this is not my password - nice try)
Me: "Capital 'A'..."
Banker: "You should probably know that the passwords aren't case sensitive."
Me (thinking): What? Note to self... complain! until then use special characters!"
Me: "All right then... 'a' '/'"
"Banker: Sorry we can't use special characters."
I became so angry. Now I won't tell you which bank it is (don't want you hacking into my account). But I complained and now they provide a service which sends a five digit number to my mobile phone but I am still angry with the bank (which ironically is now the best security provided by a bank in my country).
My point is: It's not always with the users, it may be with the designers where the problem lies!
IMHO I think games replacing dolls will take away creativity and imagination from the children. This is a step in making kids behave like robots and always do what major corporations want them to do.
I actually find NoScript better than Adblock since most ads are generated using javascript I don't have to think about blocking the ads on a new page since they are already blocked (javascript not executed).
Still one needs Adblock for hard-coded ads, but with NoScript a lot of adblocking is prevented (and the browser becomes more secure).
Well I just don't like human resource people with no knowledge of what they are recruiting, i.e. people who have people skills instead of computer skills when finding software developers.
I once contacted a recruiter looking for C++ programmer. I hadn't programmed a lot in C++ but I had mastered the technique of object oriented programming (focusing mostly on Java). When I said that I had much experience with object oriented programming and the syntax shouldn't matter the recruiter actually said: "No we are looking for a C++ programmer not someone who knows object oriented programming".
