i would rather poke a pencil in my eye than run my home network over wireless "broadband".
even if you get it all to work, good luck in trying to stream HD videos over the net. torrents? not a chance.
you're going to hit some type of limit with them and someones going to get pissed.
too bad FiOS isn't available yet in my area.
so i'm going to snail-mail my post in. I can only pray that it will be added online after this is oldnews by cmdrTaco.
In other news, my mom caught me playing with my Wii, and I wasn't ashamed.
maybe we could set up a super computer now in the state of California to fix their COBOL programs, to exhaustively iterate though all combinations, of COBOL statements, and eventually it will come up with a solution to their payroll problems.
We could have it race with programming monkeys, or ninjas. Whoever loses gets to arm wrestle Arnold.
Step 1) Unplug Computer
Step 2) Remove Power Button so that it cannot be turned on
Step 2.4) Send computer to ISS with monkeys only.
Step 3) NUKE IT IN ORBIT
Machines are cold and calculating. Humans have the advantage of chaos and stupidity which will occasionally help them win.
Now only when government contractors develop a machine with armour and machine guns to mimic this same idea { lasers a plus } will this be the end of us feeble humans...
Slashdot should auto-append the browser you post with. Would make people think twice about posting stupid statistics that can be spun in any direction that helps prove your aimless argument.
Then again/\ http://xkcd.com/438/ -- maybe not.
I use Firefox because i like it BETTER than IE. simple enough reason. no need to over analyze the situation. if they put out a new version that is better than the last, so be it. even better.

Benchmark Automation is selling a Linux Based DVR with IP cameras. Their system is decent. You can tag the video with information and search on it later. They currently are focused on the Steel Industry. Their system is written in Java. The only complaint that I have about the system is that the system requires 5 TB of disk space to record 22 cameras at 5fps. At roughly 40 grand for a system, its not cheap.
relocate to International waters, perhaps on a ship near Somalia. Live up to your name.
