It seems to me that Nintendo's offerings of old NES, SNES & N64 games online is going to be a good selling point for the system. At least, that's one reason I'm buying it.
I've never subscribed to XBox Live or the Live for the 360, mainly because I prefer to play games by myself, but I certainly am going to sign up for Nintendo's online service.
FFXII isn't even out in the states yet & FFXIII is almost finished? How did in the name of God did THAT happen? It's taken them forever to finish XII.
And whatever happened to "FFXII is going to be the last Final Fantasy game?" Are they going to sequel us all to death?

Actually, at least here in Ohio, Toys R Us is falling on exceptionally hard times. In a fifty-mile radius there 1 (one) TRU store open anymore, and only 1 (one) Babies R Us left. All of the others, at least the ones located near malls, have closed. Which actually makes me wonder: why is K B Toyz still around?

Part of the problem always has been that when a next-gen console comes out, it takes years for the game developers to catch on to the capabilities of the new system. Especially, now with three players in the console market, whereas last time there were only two, it seems like there was an absolute rush on getting that damned 360 out. Some of the games are already on the XBox a/o PS2 themselves, and the rest are sort of, well, bleech, no thanks to designers hurrying to put out a product, and screw your Quality!
Not only that, but how much BETTER can graphics get? Better graphics now just mean tweaking and fine-tuning your details. Different lengths of hair-more destructible environments-etc.
In fact, some games are going back to the older styles of gaming, such as side-scrollers, etc.
There is no great leap from 2-D to 3-D or to true 3-D.
