Off the top of my head, a $100 fan center could shut the power connection when the feed from the power company goes down. Attach a 24V AC transformer to the power company line and wire it to the fan center's controller. Power goes down, circuit opens. A $50 contactor could do the same. Look for a 2 pole (normally open) 120VAC coil. Power the coil from the power company line. When the power goes off, the contactor opens and you are disconnected.
The keyloggers i have seen did not track the mouse, so you can enter extra characters into your username and password fields, then use the mouse to select the ones that shouldn't be there and press delete. This way the keylogger gets lots of extra chars, but doesn't know what is supposed to be there and what is junk.
Every time a law is struck down as unconstitutional, all the folks in congress that voted for that law should have to pay a fine. Say, $100,000. Might be a good way to get them to actually ready the laws they vote on.
Too bad the folks in congress will never impose such a restriction on themselves...

Seems like a better way to encourage innovation is to reduce the fear of being curious. The copyright and patent laws coupled with the sue happy legal system we have makes folks afraid to experiment, or at least to share the results of those experiments. If we can't completely remove the copyright and patent laws, at least reduce them down to something resonable in today's society, to maybe 5 years or so after initial release of a product. If they haven't made money in that time, then give someone else a try...

Actually, the story behind the original Mortal Kombat game was very good and could have been adapted into an excellent movie. The movie flattened all the characters into two groups (good vs. evil) instead of allowing the individual stories and motivations to come through.
