  1. Real Estate on Searching for Real Estate Using the 'Net? · · Score: 2

This is a decent site. http://www.fsbo.com/ It is a little thin. However, it is "For Sale By Owner" - that eliminates the Realtor.

I think there is a definite misconception about "good" and "usable." One of the reasons Apple became a big company was that it had great interfaces and introduced the mouse. Granted, they swiped GUI from Xerox (OK Xerox gave it away), but THAT changed computing. They made a usable OS. Microsoft leveraged a relationship with Apple and one-uped them. They weasled through a legal loophole then. I have used virtually every platform going and windows is NOT evil. Bill Gates might be the devil incarnate, or just an aggressive savvy business man. It doesn't matter because he lost more money this year in the stock market than I am every going to make!

Most of these commericals were bland. However, EDS does get a couple claps for the running of the squirrels. I also think the George Fore-Mac grill was kind of interesting.

Does anyone realize that CDI is a contracting company? This seems a little like propaganda. I used to work for them. They are very good at "exclusive" contracts with companies which mean they are the ONLY supplier for talent. Although I was offered health care and 401(k), the cost was extremely high. I didn't get paid holidays for 6 months and forget about paid vacation time. There was a certain freedom, but unless you have a good company, it can make things more difficult. I have taken a lot of contracting jobs and I am glad the opportunity exists, but being able to directly negotiate - instead of relying on some hack from a consulting firm - has some incredible advantages.
