hacking for noobs! I wonder how many of the machines used to order this service are actually being used for bots.

  2. Re:hmm... no on Microsoft To Construct iPod/DS/PSP Killer · · Score: 0, Redundant

You're kidding right? Microsoft is a bloated dinosaur that needs to similarly disappear. They haven't had an original idea in years. The very fact that they have to call it a "killer" implies that they aren't the first on the scene. Please, save your respect and tell us that was meant with at least some sort of sarcasm.

Exactly, you state needs to learn to stop trying to pass stupid legislation that they know will only waste time and money. It doesn't matter how poor your state may be, your government decided to waste the money. The ESA should be compensated, if you don't like it make better decisions at your elections.

It never hurts to be ready, but consider the possibility. We know its out there and we're keeping a close eye on the movement. Maybe some readiness is sensible, but certainly not hysterics and considering the state of technology it should be fairly easy to keep things running from home.

This is as pointless as DRM. Even if they are successful in regulating the sales of video games (I think they already have), that doesn't mean the kids can't get the games. The most effective regulation of video games can only done by two people; yup, mom and dad.

  8. Make it harder? on Apple to Offer Monthly iTunes TV Subscriptions · · Score: 1

Why would it make it any harder? Eventually, those subscrition fees will end up costing more than a Tivo or capture card, at which point it would be impractical. Not to mention that there are many more reasons to use a hardware capture device with current TV service than to bother with iTunes (unless you actually bought into the iPod craze). Even with a capture card, i'm sure there's a way to get it into an iPod. This is as pointless as DRM itself, a scheme for suckers.

  9. M$ Strikes again... on Windows Live Search goes Live · · Score: 1

this is one of MS's classic mistakes, take a simple idea, cram it full of crap that people already get from elsewhere, post a broken beta and make the classic claim to fame while secretly waiting for the immmenent blue screen

  11. Micro$oft as usual... on Microsoft's Online Spectator Patent · · Score: 1

This is not a new idea for microsoft, to take the idea of another and try to make it their own. The idea behind windows itself was not Gates' own. Microsoft hasn't had an original idea in years, and probably will never have another one. Microsoft (like our own US government) has become overgrown and bloated. The XBox 360 is nothing more than an original xbox with a mod chip and updated hardware, most of its features (besides the obvious ones) have been the idea of the makers of XBMC (Xbox Media Center). Most of it's "new" online features have been the idea of the makers of the Avalaunch Dashboard (with the ability to update the core, skins, and other applications from the web). This is typically on par with everything esle M$ has ever done, no suprises.
