I believe, rather, that we will have more control over them than we do our bilogical offspring, as we can write their code as well as control their environment. We will have a much better idea of how do control their environment too (as we will know more about which inputs affect their environment). That might be the problem in itself. If the advances were made, there is the chance that some misguided soul will build himself an army of killer AI thingies. Granted, that does sound like a bad sci-fi flick (and it is) but it would be possible.
Have you ever cut your fingers up while trying to replace a stubborn CD-ROM drive in a poorly designed computer housing? Try doing that in a G4 case.. you'll never want to go back to evil PC cases again.
I hear about sharp cases all the time, but I have yet to have a problem. Between my three computers (a gateway 486, a mom'n'popshop k6, and my new elan vital t-10ab) and my friends two (a dell xps 300, and an addtronics 6890a) I have yet to cut or even scrape skin. Good pc cases are not hard to find.
I don't know what you were running, but my friends dell dimension xps 300 was a standard atx all around good case as far as I could tell. We had replaced half the shit in there before we built him a new computer in an addtronics 6890a case. I never did try to replace the mobo though, maybe that was proprietary. Only thing I did not like was the heatsink on the cpu, but that is easy enough to replace if he ever wants to.
I still care about daikatana. The game looks pretty decent if you've seen any video of it, and if nothing else there is the stevie case pullout in the middle of the manual.
It never ceases to amaze me how much trouble people have with these things.
Today I came into the library to find a person that had spent a half hour trying to figure out why nothing would save. Write protect tab was flipped on.
And you can't forget the people that trust those cheap ass little pieces of shit with their semester papers. It cost you less than a buck, but they trust hours and hours of work to a single copy.
There aren't any boxes of any os on my desk right now. There is, however, a monitor and a whole mess of cables running down to the dual boot box on the floor. My lame attempt at humor.
I don't see the benefit of doing something like that when you can just have standard sound from multiple speakers. Just take one speaker and put in on one side of the room and another and the other then you have sterophonic sound. Largely unless the sounds are intensely more complex your mind will associate the sound comming from different sources and allow for the "3d" effect.
Excuse me? You have obviously never played half life with a3d 2.0 and a good set, or even two sets, of speakers. There is a world of difference between a good 3d sound api and plain old stereo.
Hmmmm.........a big ass peltier sandwhich, water block and hoses, and a small freezer with a radiator coil should take care of that. Sounds like a job for Kyle
You'll have to share that recognition with every other Joshua out there, including me. Let's all get together and pound Joshua processors into peoples heads.
Now I just can't wait for spitfire. Then we get to see celeron2 vs spitfire.
While I wait, what do you guys think of this?
- Recruit allies.
- Get copies of the student directory. Every students name in alphabetical order
:) - Begin making reports at random intervals of time using differnt mediums.
- Start having my allies do the same.
Should make a joke out of it real fast.Pefect copies? The only stations I listen to are 24 kilobit, and I keep losing my connection. Not much better than normal radio, except for content.
At least for me.

Sorry, I had to say it.
Um....my windoze box can talk to me. It sounds like tron on speed. Pretty cool if you've ever heard it.

Sad....
Duh, the matrix was full of guns and fights. That alone makes it worth watching.
When I go to drag races, I expect my ears to suffer permanent damage. How the hell am I supposed to get that effect from electric cars?

A 300 watt power supply should be more than enough.
Perhaps rules was too strong of a word, guidelines is more appropriate.
For an atheist, there is no incentive to live that way, no rewards at all
Children need incentives and rewards for decent behavior, I simply expect it from adults.
Sorry, I've read too many posts by an ac that prattles on about the evils of everything. That last paragraph sounded too much like him/her/it
I'd give this a score of -1: Stick up ass.
I lead my life by two rules:
Beyond that it's a matter of personal judgement.
What the hell was all that about?
Actually....it's right here.
Actually, it is named after me. Ph34r my n4m3.

Yes, and no.
There are atx mobos, I think Asus makes one. No socket 370, K6's use socket 7.
