I could not agree with your points more! I welcome this new trend with open arms. I know I've made reference to these guys before, but I LOVE what they're trying to do - www.endlesseurope.com . I feel like these guys 'get it'. Their launching a travel reality show that encourages user-interaction from day one. They're sending two backpackers to Europe for the summer, giving them three daily challenges, and encouraging them to party it up. Anyone can apply, post questions for the applicants, suggest challenges, destinations, or music for the soundtrack. When the episodes are released in September they'll be free of charge and available to stream online, watch on mobile phones, or download to computers, iPods, or PSPs. Finally a company that is actually going to acknowledge that OUR opinions count.

This idea of TV 2.0 seems to be popping up everywhere. I found this link last week: http://www.endlesseurope.com/ . If I understand it correctly, these guys are putting together the first fully-interactive reality travel show and will be distributing it on multiple platforms for free. Seems like a pretty cool concept if they can pull it off.
