As a computer nerd who lived with a body builder in college let me put this into perspective.
1.) If you eat a lot of food, or if you eat food with a lot of fat in it, then you gain weight.
2.) Losing weight requires a fundamental rethinking of your lifestyle.
3.) If you start doing push-ups, sit-ups and running daily but don't change your lifestyle then you will probably put on additional weight (muscle weighs more than fat).
To lose weight you just need a healthy simple plan. Change the types of food you eat and cut calories, then take three days a week to begin working out. I personally lost 55 pounds in 12 months because I was dedicated to the process of getting into shape.
How much would it cost Nintendo to re-release the NES? They could even throw all their Library on one cartridge which would sell like hotcakes in the developing world.
I wouldn't hold my breath about HTC becoming a big player in this market.
AT&T is upgrading their network and in the wake the older hardware is performing as well? Big deal. This is the same approach Apple has taken with backwards compatibility and its made their operating system state of the art. If only one carrier in this country could achieve 100+mbps connections because they ignored the masses cries for legacy support I would be a happy camper.
In fact everyone on/. would be switching to AT&T if they had a budget cellular data 100+mbps plan that worked nearly everywhere in the country.
Valve Games sold through Steam are a good example of what can go right with PC gaming. I am sure they are going to do great things for the modding community as well.
Oddly I initially hated Steam when they launched HL2 thanks to the bugs and speed of that product but since that time they have really improved the system.
With companies like EA putting more and more DRM into games like Spore I am glad that Valve released Team Fortress with the same lax licensing that accompanied all their previous launches.
I also look forward to what http://www.gog.com/ will be bringing to the table in terms of competition for Valve older release title bundles.
I hardly ever post replies on here but I feel uniquely able to add something to this topic of conversation. I am 22 years old and I am a partner of an I.T. consulting company I helped form. I work 12 - 13 hours a day during the week and am lucky if I can get the weekend to spend with my girlfriend. I am not a college graduate and I do not make the money my parents make (I don't expect to at my age) but I do well and I enjoy a pretty good life.
Many of my friends who are finishing college now are coming to me for answers on how they can get rich quick, often times they tell me they don't mind putting the in hours until it comes time to do so. My peers just don't have the work ethic necessary to make a better life for themselves.

When Windows XP came out it had some backward compatibility issues with old dos software that people claimed would be the downfall of it. There were some driver issues with old peripherals especially since XP ran like crap on any Pentium 2 machines (which were still common back then).
Windows Vista on the other hand is an utter abomination! They failed at working with hardware vendors to build support for this thing. They failed at putting in new and interesting features for the consumer, although they made the a$$h*les that run the entertainment industry pretty happy with the DRM. Last but not least they shoved absolutely ridiculous licensing requirements at us, No Virtual Machines? Are you sure you aren't making enough money by just selling this crap?
I'm sick... literally.... another ignorant government attempt to stop progressive technology from being created....
I want every representative to actually be forced to use a locked down drm enforced PC where they have to request permission to do anything from sending email to rebooting...

What in the world are they thinking? The franchise was fun but the movie totally killed this series for many gamers.
