I believe treatment for transvestites is access to clothing of the relevant gender and some privacy.
'trans' is ambiguous; it could be any transgender condition, ranging from transvestite (basically a paraphilic fetishism) to transsexual (gender dimorphism) and including a complex set of varied conditions in-between.
I'm not sure I'd use the term 'cured' to describe a post-op transsexual. They may well be more comfortable with their revised body but my experience is that they continue to struggle with a range of challenges - and the suicide rate amongst post-op transsexuals suggests that there are serious issues amongst a non-trivial subset.
neither am I supportive of trannies demanding that they be allowed to use whichever bathrooms they like
I am. But I usually identify mostly as male and I'm quite comfortable using the women's bathroom if it's the only one with paper, the men's isn't working or there's just a queue.
When you're in a stall with the door closed it's all pretty fucking irrelevant, so just get over it. I'm there to empty my bladder and/or bowels, it's what bathrooms are for, what's the problem here?
Oddly the best way to find out is also a great way to get management attention.
Find a competent experienced manager you can trust, and ask, "I'm finding this situation a problem, but can't work out how to change my approach to address it. Could you make some suggestions that will help me be more effective"
Managers love that sort of shit, and a good manager will rapidly assess where the problem actually lies.
What sidewalk parking spaces? We call it a fucking road.
Shit, I'm lucky when I can park near my house. I could be anywhere within 80 yards. Sure, that's not a lot - unless you have a three metre cable you're trying to connect.
But then, safety, security and not tripping up pedestrians also comes into play. Sure, a 1st world society can address these challenges. Hasn't yet, hasn't shown the political will to do so, can't afford it.
I can build a new house with a garage on the roof and an electromagnetic car lift to let me use it, but that also isn't going to happen in the foreseeable future; making up irrelevant shit is fun isn't it.
The fact that it currently has no power is a choice you can remedy if you want to
Sure, I could get planning permission, permission from each of the 23 people whose property I'd have to cross and get electric power added to my garage. Probably wouldn't cost much more than a new car.
Or I could keep driving the car I already own.
Electric cars may become viable, but right now they are not. Before they are they'll almost certainly be autonomous and the whole personal transport domain will undergo a sizeable shift in scope and nature.
In the meantime, people that can charge an electric car, don't need to make long journeys and can't just get on a bicycle are welcome to take that option. Just stop fucking telling me I'm making the wrong choice and stop telling me I should be using something that just isn't a fucking option for me.
Fine, but compensate me for the loss this causes me. Otherwise I'm happily going to continue slowly killing you with my mostly inconsequential fumes.
You're the idiot that chose to live in a congested area. How about you move instead of stopping me getting to work? I live near green fields, lovely clean air, the occasional vehicle has no material impact at all.
well over half the population DOES have a place to charge them at their house
I own a house, and I can't. I'd have to run an electric cable across a public throughway. How about the people living here: http://www.johndavies.org/Pic-...
Only 66% of homes in the UK have off-street parking, including those with a garage. Mine is one of them; the garage is 80 yards from the house, has no power and is too small to fit a car into.
Hybrid cars are an option but you can eyeroll all you fucking want, electric cars are not fucking viable in this country.
Electric vehicles just aren't viable though. Half the population have nowhere to charge one at home, let alone when anywhere else.
What is viable is fucking over every diesel car owner in the country. The nearest city to me is already planning to ban diesel cars, which means I wont be able to drive to work without buying a second car or replacing my current perfectly functional one.
Save the environment, own two cars not one. Fucking environmentalist cunts.
That's the comedy of it.. I couldn't give you a decent answer to that one in a full tower, let alone a laptop.
Even a desktop 1080 isn't going to deliver full fidelity 4K on a single screen, but that doesn't preclude using the laptop for non-gaming purposes with three screens then gaming on just the centre screen at reasonable graphics levels.
Yeah, I still own two beefy gaming laptops I bought while working away from home for four nights a week.
Five years without a desktop and no problems with latency or graphics. 1920x1080 with full prettiness is within the grasp of good mobile graphics and has been for years. (Although I do turn AA off, as I just can't see the difference - probably linked to the resolution vs screen size)
MySQL is a fucking Oracle product. As is Java and three hundred enterprise grade applications and technologies.
Including operating systems, infrastructure that undergirds the entire web, etc.
Shit, there are plenty of things wrong with Oracle but their appearance on this list? Purely and entirely a consequence of their massive product portfolio.
How does an external hard drive help me share videos with people? You want me to post an entire HDD instead of just uploading the one they want to a file share?
My 2011 laptop has a 240GB SSD and another 750GB 7200rpm drive.
Why the fuck would I put data on shit I have to carry with the laptop when I can just put it onto the laptop? Shit, you're like the Apple fanatic I work with that tells us constantly how slim and elegant his shiny expensive laptop is, and doesn't ever mention the 17 peripherals he also carries around to make the fucking thing usable.

and sorry, those are the only two genders
If that's not trolling then it's just blatant ignorance.

Non-binary sexual organs exist, non-binary genders exist. Accept it, get over it.

That surprises me. I've worked with multiple transgendered people and found that IT departments and technology companies tend to be very accepting.
That doesn't mean that there isn't the occasional immature behaviour but I've never seen it directed at the specific individual.
Maybe just a change in workplace rather than a change in profession, or possibly you're in a country/location that just needs some education.
Somebody supporting racist, sexist, bullying fuckwads DOES deserve derision
Nice non-sequitur. Would you like to respond to my actual comment too?
I took down all my Dilbert stuff at work.
I find that comical and pathetic.
Scott Adams hasn't changed in the last two decades, but suddenly his support for a politician you don't like means his art is somehow tainted?
You sound like such a pathetic little snowflake. Hope someone's looking after you and changing your nappy every couple of hours.

Parking meters? Yeah, that's possible. We'll just get the old ladies to walk down the middle of the road now the pavement's unavailable.
I'm delighted for you that you live in a big country with lots of space. But yes, I'm a fucking ray of sunshine when people talk shit.

Hence banning them is the only reasonable option.

Glad I'm not the only one that didn't recall that part of the Art of War.
Voltaire's "pour encourager les autres" is the usual reference.

Bent phones and reduced battery life is better? Ok.
It was a joke. I laughed. You may need to ask someone to explain humour to you.

Hmm.
If it's on a Case for the HDD with an USB conn, share it's content cannot waste much time, you know...
Sorry, could someone put that into English for me please?
Touch support on Linux is hit or miss
Over 107 million Linux touch screen devices in use in the US alone. Just not running Ubuntu.

I have 600 videos posted on youtube, all recorded in 1080p HD, all with the originals held locally.
That's 600GB of original content that other people ask me to share with them, just from one single hobby that takes up 9 days a year.
I guess I could just delete it all though. We should burn down the museums, art galleries and libraries too, look how much space they waste.
