I agree with this approach. Unless she was a repeat Jolly Rancher offender, a note home would have definitely been sufficient.
I must say, I do appreciate the rules against candy. Helping kids eat better since they are too young to understand why kale is good for you is a good thing. I know parents that let their kids eat loads of processed foods and it just makes me sick
That is another *really* good point to consider. I don't care whether you were innovative or not, screaming on the top of your lungs for people to buy your product, hell, giving it away for free--to stand out amongst the crowd of games released at that time was damn near impossible.
Innovation is neither a formula for success or for destruction. When a game developer chooses to be innovative for the sake of being innovative, without a truly inspired vision, the results will be dismal sells. For innovation to work, a product *must* be *fully-realized*. Many innovative games have done a great job mixing Innovation with Marketability. And just arround the corner is an entire innovative system: Nintendo Revolution.
IMO, Innovation is the key to the greatest kind of success in the gaming market because it allows you to shatter the boundries of pre-existing genres to really make your product stand out.
so long as people remain enthusiastic about being the building blocks of web site content, i.e. wikipedia, why on earth would a web author choose any other route?
