The Sudanese strike hit an aspirin and babyfood factory (the only one in Sudan, iirc) due to very bad intel.
Don't the missles ALWAYS seem to hit "a baby factory" or a "medicine factory" when being reported on by the country attacked?? I guess the USA really hates babies and medicine then...
wait..Tucows had more customers than Blue Security?? Well I am sure each and every other customer was more than willing to have their sites unreachable indefinitely to support the "spirit" of Blue Security...Or maybe, possibly, they are BUSINESSES who want to do BUSINESS on the web and don't GIVE A SHIT about Blue Security or what they are doing, they just want their sites to work..but I could be wrong, most businesses probably care about "principles" than "profits"..
And while we are at it, let's make shoplifting and jaywalking capital offenses also. Rip the tag of your mattress - electric chair. Forgot to use a turn signal on a turn - gas chamber. Drink alcohol before you are 21 - firing squad. Spray paint graffiti - lethal injection. Starting to sound ridiculous yet??? Violence should never be the solution to non-violent offenses. The penalty for ANNOYING someone should certainly never be DEATH.
"Agreed, it's bad. Also when someone kicks you or hits you or whatever, if you beat him up, that's really bad.
But you know what? It works. And in the end of the way, that's all that matters."
sounds like someone is gunning for a Bush cabinet position...
"The end ALWAYS justify the means" is a crap statement....
No, ethical would be getting the proof before going public. Knowing who is behind the attack is not the same as being able to prove who is behind the attack.
"Nice to see that they're relasing the original versions in the same boxes. Now I can show my kids the versions I saw, and not the "digitally enhanced" (read:bastardized) versions where they cut/rearranged scenes."
To which your kids will likely say "Hey Dad, this movie sucks! Look at the special effects, what crap! Where is my Harry Potter video??"
Well, me and my father saw the orignal theatrical release of Star Wars back in '77 at least 4 times that I can remember - he did and still does think it is a great film. Of course he actually remembers watching Buck Rodgers and other serial/action type stuff from when he was a kid, so he may have been waxing nostalgic about that too...
Star Wars isn't a sci-fi movie, or even a "space" movie for that matter. It is an action/serial movie with some great "war movie" type dogfights thrown in. When Lucas tried to develop the "romance" part of the stroy is when it all starts to go south...
yes you are right. There isn't a single person on the planet that can't differentiate between high and low quality speakers. Not a single one on a planet of over 5 billion. That sounds pretty likely. But you keep believing your own myth... By the way, have you ever heard of say, oh someone with sound damaged hearing, who may not be able to tell the difference so well?? Oh, wait, that's right NOT ONE PERSON ANYWHERE could possibly be affected by this. Period.
heh, yeah my Camaro speedometer stops at 130, so I don't really exactly know how fast it goes. I do know it had about 1/4 gas pedal left after it hit 130 though...

I'm not sure which is scarier - the theories that some /. folks come up with or the fact the others think they are completely unplausible....

Actually the FBI has no jurisdiction outside the USA..The F in FBI stands for FEDERAL...
One person's "freedom fighters" are another person's "terrorists"...Just depends on the point of view...
but just remember the conjugal visits...
I can just see Miller's ad campaign -
"Now you too can have what looks like a 20 ounce can of beer but actually only contains 6 ounces!! But at least it isn't warm, right?"
Don't knock your meal ticket man. Think if all those people's computers were working great - you (and I) would be out of a job...
Have you considered a career in the military?? You are pretty much exactly what they are looking for..

Because 99.999% of the time they are coming from either forged or "borrowed" email accounts.

Doesn't anyone watch South Park on /. ???
to me the voice overs gave it a more Film Noir type feel... Not necessary for the plot exactly, but giving the scenes some more atmosphere...

I mean hey, it's not like it's rocket science or anything...

Hey, where the hell did my cars go last night???
Do you think your average repo man could even operate a laptop let alone utilize the technology to break into and start a car??

:)
Um, hypothetically of course...
Plus after you own a hybrid, you will grow to love the smell of your own farts...
but it did go 185...
