Apple is currently paying for a 3G license through Intel. They are not using it for free. As I have already stated, Samsung is committing fraud in a desperate attempt to force a settlement.
People say Apple started it, but that presumes Samsung did not duplicate Apple's design. It does not matter if you believe that the duplication is right or wrong, it is clear it happened. You can make jokes and say it is about shape or rounded corners, but it isn't. Look at the whole picture, it is undeniable.
Kind of. The funny thing is, Apples claims are pretty accurate. Samsung is using their advance and intimate knowledge of apple products to replicate them. I don't really care, but it is delusional to believe they are not doing it.
Eventually on appeal they won the fraud charge, but I believe all of their past and future license claims (in the s-dram case) were tossed out. Fraud is a hard crime to prove, does not mean they did not do it.
In the Nokia case Apple felt their IP was being undervalued and Nokia's overvalued. Cross-licensing is not automatically fair. Saying you hav to let us copy all your products if you want to use the 3G standard, also not fair.
Actually it is not equally absurd. By trying to say their technology in the 3G standard is not covered b the 3G license, they are not being absurd at all. They are being fraudulent.
I recognize you think industry means manufacturing (which it doesn't). Even I it did, you would still be wrong. There is nothing about paying another company to fun the lines that would make Apple any less of a manufacturer.
Why can't the growth be sustained? Even if it can't dividends would not help investors in th extremely Lon term (like you are discussing). If growth becomes less spectacular, they can pay a dividend. There is no need to now. It would reduce the stock price and give investor a taxable event. Who wants that?
That is simply not the case. At least not as simply as you stated it. No matter how you calculate it, if share price goes up and earnings go down, the ratio will go up. In the case of Apple, I suppose your statement is true (but not precisely so) because their earnings growth will keep their ratio near or below that figure, regardless of realistic increases in share price.
There are no publicly trade companies bigger than Apple by market capitalization (Apple is worth more than 2x Walmart's ~$175b). Having said that, the headline is still wrong. It should have said stock price.
I am not sure it is Incorrect. If there was ever a ground invasion of the US, those interstates will still be important. They loop and connect every major city...
Samsung hasn't actually done anything. I am sure some middle manager spouted off about getting back at Apple in Europe when the iPhone 5 comes out and then one reporter devised it must be true and now all the rumor and tech sites post it as fact.
Samsung will still be making the A5. The rumors are that TSMC will make the A6. I can see why you would dump a supplier that steals your designs. I can't see why you would dump attack a massive customer of one of the conglomerates core businesses just to prop up the mobile division.
Or cutting off your nose to spite your face is fair play bitch. Samsung makes more money selling iPhones than Samsung phones...I would imagine it is quite a bit more profitable too.
My pull pump draws a continuous 750 watts...DVR would have a hard time keeping up.I realize we have intelligent pumps now that would pay for themselves in short order, but this one is my friend.
Now I have a use for his POS Inspire (I hope). Had to go back to my 3GS while I wait on the iPhone 5 and stuff that thing in a drawer. I know I should have recognized I hated it during th return period, but I was trying to like it.
Not exactly, do a little more research than the Wikipedia page.

*yawn*
You need a new dictionary. Industrial means pertaining to industry, and there is no definition of industry would exclude Apple. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/industry

Nom they won't. It isthat simple. Microsoft will not even ask PC makers to lockout other OS. They did that 20 years agao, it did not work out.
I know you said devices, bu Apple does provide tools with OSX to help users install competing OSs
The headline is absurd. M

Samsung presumably sells their components at a profit....

If we did not have DVRs and 500 channels, this would be a lot easier :)
Also, if you effectively skip commercials, the DVR probably pays for itself because your TV is on less.

Paper weight and clip manufacturers are outraged.
