Uh, backhanded compliments--like implying her looks are really all that matter--are routinely looked down on in the "real world," at least among people who shower on a regular basis. But go on defending the crudeness here if you still don't have a clue.

You're fighting a losing battle. Slashdot is a forum for slovenly males who don't know/don't care how to get along in wider society, much less wider society that cares about such irrelevancies as being polite and having a little class. Apparently that's the way they like it, so don't come here expecting anything else. It's a little like going into a men's locker room and complaining about all the dicks.
Yeah, but the Economist's editors are notoriously fond of punnage and other wordplay. Samuel Beckett began his career reporting for them, you know, and Nabokov spent the '60s working in their Moscow bureau. With that in mind, I wouldn't be surprised if "haemaurin aurinase" is their polite way of saying "hey moron, you're an ass."

People keep talking about them, but why am I not seeing these tags anywhere? Am I the only one?
What's astounding is your expectation that either Slashdot submitters or Slashdot editors care enough to notice, much less fix, these glaring errors.
I gotta agree. iTunes is unique among Apple's iApps in suckage--the only one still written in Carbon, for chrissakes! It's almost as bad as Firefox.
Making Windows more usable with Tweak UI: Polishing a turd.
Making Firefox more usable with extensions: Garnishing a rotten egg.
Haha. I love how you read the content of the post and assumed the poster must have been a she. I'd say you lost the argument right there.
Yes, though some of those will require plugins. Can a stock installation of Firefox do all those things?
Yes, and you should start by looking at Safari. I'm dead serious. Firefox is a criminally bloated, aesthetically wretched turd compared to Safari.

OK, I'll bite. I've set "Show Tags" to On. Earlier, that page said I was unable to view tags "at this time." How come I still can't see them?
