I visited the site , but it's pretty much all in one direction , and that makes me suspicious , in the same way as climate change denying websites do.

I guess i'll just have to think for myself instead , at least it's my own truth then.

You are right. It seems that , somewhere along the way , we learned to be docile , and accept everything .
It would be interesting to see how that happened.

I assume you are a European citizen.

Meaning you voted the wrong people into your own national and by consequence our European government.

The problem is , you only get the wrong ones , no matter what you choose for , because of the party system : you choose someone , but the party ultimately decides who gets to rule.
And because the worst people are best at fighting for their place (because they only care for themselves , not the people ) , they are the ones who get the office.

What would that accomplish ? They would simply arrest everyone for 24h .
It's called an administrative arrest , which basically means they can keep you in jail for 24h , without any reason.

It's not fair to make us responsible for things we never voted for.

Your comment being modded troll: that is everyone else's.

Unless you live in China : i'm sure they blocked this article already , or slashdot for that matter.
Now , for the rest of the world : yes , at this moment , the internet allows freedom of speech.

However , if one tries to stop a news station , that is censorship , no matter how you put it.
And if that's allowed to go through , it's just a matter of time before internet censorship is a fact.

That depends : just copying the code is indeed not stealing , like copying music is not stealing.
However , if they were to copy it , and claim that they made it originally , and get away with it , that would be stealing , because then the original authors lose ownership of their code .

That's the same for music : if i copy some unknown person's music , and claim it as my own , i am stealing the ownership from that person.

Offcourse , it may be off by some , but the same is true for the radar.

If i went 62mph , at a given time , i would be able to see that on my gps . It won't show as 45mph.

  18. Re:Standard Calculus on Radar Beats GPS In Court — Or Does It? · · Score: 1

What i find strange is that there is only an average recorded speed. My gps can tell me my speed at the exact moment, so if i would record that , it would show my speed , exactly over time . Then you would also be able to see where i stopped , and when exactly when i speeded. So it would be much more acurate then a radar.

So , bad GPS tracking system.

Offcourse ,that will only be a problem after years , not after a few months.

And it will certainly become a problem if the trip takes generations

Sure , it can still be manipulated , but than they would have to manipulate both the counting ,and the machines.
