Darn straight! If it was, it would have been out of business decades ago. It's lost money every year since 1957 - six decades ago... Maybe it's time to start thinking a little more like a business and not a charity/graft machine?
So because those politically opposed to him saying he wasn't serious - he wasn't serious? Got it. The narrative of the opposition is to be believed at all costs.
Nope. I am not talking about the total number out of work, I am talking about the labor force participation rate. The percentage of working-age people who could work - but are not. It is at a 40 year low. The unemployment rate does not factor participation in, but is based upon people considered actively looking for work versus those who are working.
It's a shell game. Let's say the rules are that if you qualify for unemployment insurance, and are drawing, then you are unemployed. If you do not qualify for unemployment insurance, and are not working - then you don't count at all. And obviously if you are working, you are working. Here's how it plays out:
You and are compose 100% of the labor force. We are both working. We have 0% unemployment, and 100% labor force participation rate. I lose my job. We now have 50% unemployment, and 50% labor force participation rate. I cannot find a job before my unemployment runs out; thus I am considered (under current unemployment calculation processes) to be no longer in the labor force. Thus unemployment plummets back to 0% - but the labor force participation rate is still at 50%.
Cooking who we called "working" and "not working" dramatically changes the unemployment rate. It's how you can have an increasing number of potential workers, and people who want to work but are not, and still have a falling unemployment rate. It's a shell game, designed to push a narrative of "happy days are here again!"
Julius Fucking Caesar. If he hadn't shown Rome how profitable it could be to expand and conquer the Northern tribes, we'd never had those bastards in England starting up in the first place. Brutus needed to strike earlier...
Additionally, I don't think we ever exited the 2008 recession. Unemployment is down only because the labor participation rate is down. Calling the long-term unemployed people "non-participants", so you can lower the unemployment rate of those still left is cooking the books. Artificially lower the rate of inflation to make the GDP swing positive instead of negative. And so on. If we've been in a "recovery" it's been incredibly weak compared to all other recoveries.
LBJ owned lots of businesses, including radio and TV stations. He put those in a trust run by his wife - and that was sufficient. Likewise with Kennedy, who's extremely wealthy family kept running the family businesses and investments, and gave him $3 million from the family trust while he was still President (1962). Heck, the founding fathers were all fabulously wealthy men who continued ownership of their vast estates and farms and businesses which were run by their family. But I get it. Trump.
Yes, how dare those white, successful businessmen get involved in politics! Didn't the founding fathers understand that only academics and career bureaucrats qualify for elected office? The whole concept of citizen statesman is anathema to the founding of These United States.
Further, Samsung Pay racked up 100 million transactions in its first year. That's about 1/20th of what's going on in India. And I don't think Apple is 20 times the volume of use as Samsung Pay...
So, I can buy a unique Pasmo card but I have to use a credit card to charge it? So sure - my name is NOT registered to the Pasmo card, but it IS registered to the card used to charge it, and thus I am once again trackable. Unless I use barter or cash to charge it. Oh wait...
Yeah, 10 kW as the start? You're going to need at lest forty 250 Watt panels (and those are big panels, around 1.5 square meters each), and that's assuming you get good insolation that far north. And with a good 5-6 hours per day of 50% cloud cover and bright sun. In Canada, year round? Figure eighty panels minimum, around 120 square meters of space. That's not a small residential system, that is a pretty significant installation (remember, it all needs to be south facing as well - I assume you have that much south facing roof on your home?)
Hey, we do things BIG in the USA! For example, a recent wind farm install in Port Angeles, WA will have a 213 year payback, assuming 0% interest and a consistent operation at expected levels. Over $100,000 spent to generate $42 per month in electricity.
Personally I see the Black Lives Matter organizations as more of a threat to society than the KKK. I see the alt-left out rioting and destroying property and beating people who didn't vote how they wanted as a bigger threat than the KKK. I'm looking at what the groups are doing today, and over the last few years, rather than 100 years ago.
Yes, kick them out! Let's not allow any arabs in Israel, and heaven forbid they get into the Knesset. Oh wait... Now, let's boot those "evil jews" from Israel (a historical land for them) - where do we send them? Syria? Saudi Arabia? Iraq? Iran? Hey - those countries refuse to even recognize their right to EXIST, let alone live there...
Google search shows dozens of mosques and churches in Israel. Google search flat out states "no synagogues" and "no churches" in Saudi Arabia. But that's OK, let's continue to demonize the only thing that's close to a fully open society in the Middle East because "JOOOOS!"
Yes, what I'm talking about could be construed as defending the KKK if a person has a vested interest in pushing the "America is racist!" meme. Rather than fret about the KKK (which WAS bad, back when Robert "sheets" Byrd was in it), let's concern ourselves with an ACTUAL group of people not just intent on killing one "race" in America, but ALL Americans. Islamic terrorism a real thing, it's killed thousands in the US over the last 16 years. Yet some would rather obsess over the KKK and the past than face the evil of today and the future.
Did you know that Israel has a 70 year history of its neighbors denying its right to even EXIST? That it's been under terrorist attacks for decades? That accidents and unfortunate issues happen, and that because of ONE action you claim the entire nation and defunct? What do you say when an ISIS or PA terrorist blows up a few dozen people at an Israeli market - good for the terrorists? You're an idiot. And a racist one at that.
And? So? What is the point? A man shouts a highly incidiary phrase (allahu ackbar) at a religious site that was crowded with people, and he's shot? That's sign of repression? I guess I can have a policeman a few feet away, turn to you, point my finger and say "I'm going to shoot you!" and expect the policeman to do nothing, right?
You're a moron. The fact is that Israel is pretty much the ONLY place in the Middle East with ANYTHING resembling freedom of religion, speech, and personal actions. Go try to just carry a Bible into Saudi Arabia and find out what happens...
In AC's defense, we're just deplorables anyway, so...
Government isn't a business.

Trump was never serious about being president, as he never expected to get the nomination.
You know that - how? He certainly ran hard and pushed hard to win the nomination.

Which US citizen group is he talking about revoking their citizenship?
Yes, how dare those white, successful businessmen get involved in politics! Didn't the founding fathers understand that only academics and career bureaucrats qualify for elected office? The whole concept of citizen statesman is anathema to the founding of These United States.
Don't trust an Aussie website to get the facts of US law correct. The Atlantic, no fan of Trump, even admits that the President is exempt from conflict of interest laws. The Boston Globe, which endorsed Clinton for President, also confirms the exemption.
No, he's waiting for Trump to conduct his meetings and announcements behind a podium with an "Office of the President Elect" banner in front of it.
So if I have cash, I need the card for??? If you need cash to fill it to be anonymous, then you're really not in a cashless society, are you?

Lots of Governmental types do not consider hydro as a green energy source. Not sure if Ontario/Canada falls into that group, but at least in the US (California in particular) hydro is not always a green energy source.

XOM has been a good investment this year so far, up about 13% and with a nice $3.00 dividend as well...

Got it. You're an idiot who's fully embedded in his own ways. A waste of space. Sucks to be you!
