It's like looking at a dyslexic person and saying it's just a matter of self control when it comes to reading. It shows a profound lack of understanding of the issue.

I'm severely dyslexic and to a certain extent overcoming it is a matter of self control. Reading and writing were very difficult for me in elementary school but I overcame it to where I am a functioning member of society by years of hard work. Sure it is easy to make excuses for what ever genetic cards you were dealt but that really doesn't get you far in life.

Don't most store security systems use VHS tapes for their security cameras?

If they switch to non-erasable DVD, there's going to be a metric ton of these that just go to waste every day.

I would think instead of using a VHS tape or DVD the video would just be stored to a hard drive for say a week or month and then recorded over.

So lets just put the DNA source code into the PNA compiler. I'm more concerned about living forever than the future evolution of the species.

Mitochondrial dna would answer that question. Mitochondrial dna is only passed down from the mother's side and everything I have read so far indicates that if interbreeding occured it must have been between a neanderthal chick and ancient guy.

The key to this is having babies that live long enough to have successful offspring. I having living grandparents was beneficial to the survival of offspring then this trait would be more likely to be passed on. For example having someone to watch children while adults are hunting or gathering or in a prehistoric (literally before written language) society someone remembering where the best hunting spot/techniques.

Training a new grunt is expensive but where they are looking to save the most money is in paying disability to the solder for life. Being a solder I have worried that I will receive a minor injury when I get close to retirement and get medically retired only to be healed a few years latter. In a situation like that if you have less than 20 years you will get only medical retirement and then if a few years latter they patch you up you have lost all your military retirement income.

So far in this war they aren't having that much trouble getting the manning they need.
