even your own post reeks of ignorance of the situation. chernobyl threw out, at fukujima it leaked, you say .... what about the millions of tonnes of sea water that was pumped to cool the reactor and then rightaway evaporated. 'most of them carried with the wind' -> yes, towards pacific ocean and americas. and its still happening.

it went over chernobyl eons ago.

oh no - we CAN find some excuses for that cant we ? since they were saying 'it is not even near chernobyl' as an apology at one point in time, and when japanese government officially raised the level of disaster to 7, which is chernobyl level, they switched to saying 'not too much happened at chernobyl - it was mild'.

colleges, universities come from scholastic roots from their roots in 13th century church universities. even the word scholar, scholastic has church roots. over the centuries, universities have served good use by liberating themselves from their religious aspect and adopting positive sciences, but, they have more or less maintained the general hierarchical and monolithic structure of the scholastic roots. curriculums et al remain almost same for centuries in system and mechanics. this worked well for centuries. but ....

times have changed. we have the information revolution now, the internet, intellectual and processing power of the crowds, new methods, new approaches, new techniques. it moves fast now. colleges and universities cant keep up with internet. you can see it at the minimum in the difficulty of i.t. related departments of colleges for keeping up with the fast tech.

we need something new in our times. and i guess it will be something having to do with internet.

same with government. government is the tool to keep the bastards in check, but, if you just let it be, bastards take over the government and use it for themselves. if, you dont have any government, bastards just directly exploit you. just like how they would do with the army. thats the difference.

price of freedom is eternal vigilance. you cant just 'let things be' and expect to be free. because, there are those who do not let things be.
