Simply what I have noticed from the people that I know, I do not claim to be an expert on global averages nor will I go and survey everybody at work before posting, I am just using averages. I can only speak for what I observe. And as for your observation on mac users switching back to mac and pc users never using a mac, maybe a little PIHOW* of your own.
I have been a huge fan of MobileEdge bags for the last few years, I currently have a messenger bag and just bought the big backpack that goes everywhere with me now. They are very well built and have pockets for everything I need. Another bonus is that they are pretty inexpensive as well, that is always a plus in my book.
Is it just me or should it maybe be the advertisers that are going on trial here, not Google. Granted, if Google can filter out these ads that is great but it seems that our efforts should be getting child porn sites shut down, not making the unsearchable.
I agree, I think that Google does a pretty good job of filtering out most obscene material from searches. There is only so much that they can do to keep everything out. I am sure they get thousands of requests for sponsored links everyday, it is impossible to look at every single one and filter it out. I say go after people that are doing the advertising, they are the real criminals, not Google.
I am all for this, I think that MSN is lacking a little bit compared to what Google and Yahoo! have to offer. It will be nice to see what they can come up with. And as always, competition is good for the consumer, the more MSN spends, the more Google and Yahoo! will spend. And I am always for us consumers getting a better product.
Agreed, I can't argure with that. I guess that a lot either have had problems with mac's too, or they just don't want to make the switch. Hey I guess that is why stores like Best Buy and CompUSA make so much money fixing computers, and why companies hire IT support.
You know as well as I do, people buy mac because they think they are pretty, and have had a bad experience with a pc that they did not have the knowledge to fix.
"tend to know more about technology" than what, maybe a cave person. I personally work in a company with about half mac half pc users. I am friends with many of both but on average 99% of my mac users don't know the difference between a hard drive and the case. On the other hand my pc users aren't much better but I will say that 99% of the people that do know something about computers, use pc's and hate mac, myself included.
Is it just me or does anybody else remember that just a few years ago macs big marketing scheme was that all you had to do was plug it in and you didn't need to know anything about computers (not true by the way)?
I am sure that mac's have their use, I haven't found it yet, I know I will upset a few people with this, but anything graphically that can be done on a average mac ($2000 give or take) I can do on a higher end pc ($2000 give or take) and chances are it will look exactly the same, not to mention I will be free to use whatever software I want because it will be reverse compatible.
As for viruses, I admit because the OS is based on Unix it is harder to get a virus but as someone else said they can still carry them and infect other computers even if they are not affected themselves.
