Uhh hezbolah was created to defend lebanon in the 80s after israel killed thousands of lebanese and occupied a good chunk of it.

The last fight between them happened in 2006. Hezbolah kidnapped a few SOLDIERs to trade for PoWs (a common thing since israel has a shit ton of prisoners).

Israel responded by sending in an army many 100s of times larger than lebanon's they bombed many buildings including hospitals, school, UN bunkers and apartment buildings. Hezbolah fired rockets back to show resistance.

In the end Israel killed 1200 civilians, 300soldiers, and a significant percentage of the countries economy. Hezbolah killed 120soldiers, 40civilians. Notice the fucking difference in ratios. Oh and the whole time hezbolah conducted rescue missions, gave out food and helped transport people to safety. So fuck off.

Also: "Hezbollah is now also a major provider of social services, which operate schools, hospitals, and agricultural services for thousands of Lebanese Shiites, and plays a significant force in Lebanese politics.".

Also hezbolah states that they distinguish between zionists and jewish. Their stated reason for firing rockets is continued resistance against israeli attacks and to put an end to any colonial entity within lebanon. NOT kill jews.

How the fuck parent got modded up is beyond me. Every single point is a verifiable falsehood.

They've been mostly ignored. People get .com to look professional, .net at random (though it is supposed to be for ISPs), and .org if you want to stand for some ideal.

Though TBH I'm not certain WHY we need TLDs anyways. It isn't like there is some commercial slashdot.com it just redirects. I imagine that any big name will own all of the tlds with its name. Google is the only company that differentiates but it does it completely wrong. It shouldn't be google.com and google.org ... it could just be www.google vs org.google. I guess it is something that lets companies sell the same product to people multiple times.

Also the nuclear pulse system IS for liftoff beyond the initial few hundred meters. The whole advantage of nuclear pulse propulsion is that you can lift MASSIVE things into space for cheap. And they can reach high speeds in space. The only reason they don't use nukes straight from the ground is that the debris would damage the ship.

Before you worry, if launched from a safe location the deaths worldwide due to fallout with current tech would be less than .1person. And if we were allowed to do research and testing on these things we could get it much lower.

Sorry, I wrote a tl;dr for what you said to ensure i understood you correctly. I did read the whole thing and didn't really target just the last line.

Also I have read the king james bible in its entirety. Sort of true. But that is being an apologist. He could have said no slaves. Anyways I don't understand how if God is infallible that he needs to release a second edition and its still full of errors. The bible (new test) also talks about slaughtering disbelievers jesus having swords coming out of his mouth. Sleeping with relatives, the proper way to beat people and condemning whole cities of people to hellish deaths. If you saw no evil pushed by jesus or god in the new testament you are blind. Also, if you are expected to extrapolate why didn't they put that in the intro?

Either way it is this extrapolation which makes religion dangerous. It is for this reason many thousands of people millions even must die. Contractualism is pretty much impossible to get right. But the bible is something different.

It gives you the ability to live with no real moral code and feel no guilt. Step one, the book is so open ended as well as the religion and no one reads the book anyways that you can pick whatever moral code you choose. This is partially changed by bits of contract that is more clear or attractive to those attempting to follow the bible. Next when you make a decision based on your arbitrary moral code you have the support of god behind you that this is the right decision. Absolution of guilt if you make a mistake. Lastly, with no guilt and the idea that the bible is unchanging you have no reason to examine yourself, learn or adapt.

Of course it isn't so black and white but still. Scary.
