  1. Never Happen on Net Neutrality a Threat to Online OSes? · · Score: 2, Insightful

It would never happen that way, because as the last page states Google are the "server masters" and they cannot to evil, so I ask you, how can they "run" this Broadband-OS when it would be evil to do so? That's right, they wouldn't be able to, it goes against their programming.

Also, if something like that did start to happen, Google would most likely start to be an ISP which doesn't restrict things... watch out Verizon.

One last thing, I wonder how this would affect me, being as I am Canadian; or even anyone else in the world.

Yes, I used to use it and liked it a lot, but I couldn't file transfer and that is something I have to do very regularly with people who aren't so computer literate so it is a great feature that GAIM needs in order to become mainstream.

Can someone tell me if they have since added this feature when I was not looking (specifically for the MSN part of GAIM)

Or how about right down the street from me in my little border town where there was a murder a few months ago and last week a guy beat almost to death (still in hospital in critical condition today)

Nope, can't say I have ever felt unsafe... In Canada, when I go to the states its totally different, a-la West Buffalo anyone?

I took what the AC was saying as to mean when walking down the street not to be courtious to someone just because they are of a different skin (think of how Muslims get treated). I see now from reading replies that he in fact did not mean that, and while race does make people different we should not judge them based on that, or else it will be the same as with the "American" generalizations.
