The pilot requested the escort and the aircraft was from Northwest Airlines.

There was a big terror scare in London just before this happened. Liquid explosives.. remember that ? The "liquid explosive" idea came from american news channels and is showcased in Michael Moores movie Fahrenheit 9/11 as a sign of american paranoia.

Let us hope, for Tony Blairs sake, that the terror plot is not a case of "muslim buys DVD".

that I and others can analyze it to determine whether it still poses a threat of copycat violence in our schools

Because copycat violence is a problem in a country saturated with YOU_MIGHT_DIE_RIGHT_NOW "news" on Fox. In a country where a womans breast is deemed obscene, where bad words and problematic opinions are censored by the mainstream media. Where B2 Stealth bomber pilots are less affected by a bombing run than I am from playing BF2 online. Where the Daily Show, comedy and freaking blogs are the last critical voices available.

Image Columbine without guns. Two broken noses and a pissed headmaster. Guns dont kill people. People kill people. And most people are fucking stupid when under attack.

Yeah... blame virtual (non-real, fictional) reality ! Seems to be the norm.

PS: American roast beef sandwich on rye with everything ! Lays chips ! Mountain Due ! $25 Hot olive pizza ! Go Giants ! Whoowhoo!

They're penalizing today's shareholders for events that occurred five years ago.

And this makes shareholders any less responsible ? Oh... I had no idea that DeathMurderInc had such a shady history. Silly me. I was just trying to make a sound invenstment. Hmm.. Asbestos floor tiles in Latin America. Chemical plants in India. Suicide crops and nano tech in Africa. Hot hot hot.

  5. Nothing is new on Web 2.0 As A New Wave of Innovation? · · Score: 1

Web 2.0 is like the Vi1agra emails I get in my inbox. Economy 101 in the world of spam.
Live of the one percent of morons who think the web today is anything more than ten year old technology plus more bandwidth.

RSS, Flikr, Google Maps, AJAX, Video sites... equals bandwidth, bandwidth, bandwidth, bandwidth and bandwidth.
    Nothing is new.. Nothing.

Read the specs.. nada, zilch, 0 is fresh, working and available in popular web browsers.
Why ? Because innovation has been replaced by the DMCA and the US patent system.

An economy based on IP and DRM is like the one based on Opium and Gunships.
One day "Designed by Apple in California" becomes "Designed by ChinaCorp in Beijing" and then the US economy is in real trouble.
