    Sound will not travel through a hard vacum. But they are using winds to travel. Those winds are composed of "space dust". Could the dust carry sound in space? I *think* no. Though when they say supersonic they do so probably using the standard speed of sound(ie. 32 deg F, dry air at see level wich is 331.6 m/sec). But if the ship traveled on the dust and the dust could carry sound then without and second source of propulsion the ship could not travel faster than the speed of the wind wich would much slower than sound.

    The 0g affect is along term one. For long term space travel we would use cryogenics(sp?) or use a spinning ship to sim gravity any way so what is the problem?
    Or would this still affect frozen people?
    As for 0g sex, short term exposure to 0g would not be harmfull;-)

    The movie was good in my opinion. But most of my friends who saw it, and never read the comic book or saw the cartoon, thought that the movie was missing a background that explained the mutations them selves. And a lot of the history between Professor X and Magnito was not given.
    But for the rest of us, we thought that the movie was well done despite the disappearance of some characters(Jubille?).
    Considering that the movie was based on a comic book it was well done just like "Men in Black". How long untill the sequal is ready?

    Is the sun a big enough target?
    If they sling shot Galileo towards the sun then they could hit there target.
    And we would not have to wory about pissing off any aliens except those who only live is the plasma state of matter.

    Plus couldn't we learn something by sending a probe to the sun?
    I don't recall anything like it being done before.

    Who agrees that we should target the sun with our contamination probe?

    What I would do is use credit card ID verification, wich would solve the legal problems, but rather than charge them for the service display banners on you site.
    Many .COMpanies make there money by exposing users to banners, while offering a free service(for example /.).

    CO-LO hosting might be more what you need.
    Many places charge for the hosting by the amount of bandwidth you want.
    If you just want a little bandwidth then CO-LO will cost you less and be more dependable than DSL.
    Plus with CO-LO you don't need to wory about utilities for the computer like AC and power.

    then under what grounds are they going to kill your account?
    They have no proof that you actually are under 13.

    Also someone mentioned that by law children under 13 could not waive there privacy rights.
    Is this national law?
    Or is it international law?
    ICQ has users in other countries and the age limits for such things vary from country to country.
    Is ICQ going to boot users in other countries who are under 13 and can legally waive there privacy rights?

    I never looked at open scource development that way before.
    But I would have to say no.
    Having a business plan that relies on support for revenue pushes the developers to develop a product that is of the highest quality possible.
    The goal is to get as many people to use there product as possible.
    Despite the ease of the GUI any OS that is popular will bring lots of support revenue.

    Well I just graduated High School myself and I have had a job at an ISP for the past 6 months as part of the tech support team.
    A few pieces of advice for getting a job:
    1. First say you are looking for "entry level employment". They love that. Makes a good impresion.
    2. Let your available hours be a flexable as possable.
    3. Say you are everything you are. If you like Linux say so. If you know a little of a programming language then say you know the language. Sell your self.
    It worked for me.
    Don't you think you are a litle late to be looking for a summmer job(like 3 months late)?

    From the article it looks as if he did review there work.
    I first must say that the tests you refer to make a great documentary on the history channel.
    The people from the cold war used high altitude parachutes to control there decent.
    The article mentioned that Walker will use a multi-stage parachute during his decent.
    This conept of multi-staged parachutes, if I remember correctly, was the result of the testing you mentioned.

    The idea of both a high and low level language in one is a good one. No doubts about it.
    But Microsoft's implimentation is very poor.
    If Microsoft would fix the implimentation, wich they will not do, then C# *might* have been a good language.
    It at least would have been, and might still be, worth learning.

    Are you needink to have physical access to the computer?
    If you are then look for a place where the building is open as many odd hours as you can find.
    Looking to just leave it there and do all the work by remote?
    Look for a place that has nice people who are smart enough to cycle power for you ar do other little odd things that might need doing.
    Other than that every ont your looking at should have there co-los stored within FCC regulations.

    I know a macro does not count, but wouldn't a macro for Word or something like that wich has spelling and grammar checkers be easier to write.

    Not to mention the fact that you could write the macro so that it could send its self over the net spreading random Haikus to everyone on the plannet using MS word.

    Your thinking that the rate of acceleration would be increasing.
    the article says that the crafe would be constantly accelerating.

    Acceleration could ba constant. There fore there could stable gravity.

    wouldn't the @#$%@#$ act as a buffer and actually increase the force of the engine?
    though this increase would never be greater than the resistence of the air in front.(right?)
    However I do agree that this would be more effictive in space where ther is less friction will stuff.

    I would imagine(this is only a guess) that the tank used would be shielded with the same stuff that is on the outside of the space shuttle. It reflects *almost* all heat energy directed at it.
