    From what I read, man made smoke is only about 3% of the amount released by volcanos. So I don't think the spike in CO2 is entirely man made. I can remember my geography teacher blabbing about a spike in volcanism around the Pacific rim too.

    The whole purpose of the climate change charade is to make Joe Public amenable to nuclear power stations. To any scientist, it is glaringly obvious that we need to build more nuclear power stations, but the Chernobyl incident made it political suicide for any politician to propose more nuclear power. The climate change PR campaign is carefully orchestrated to change that and it seems to be working, even the sun is playing its part.

    Because these CD tarriffs and whatnot are not actually collected. There is no mechanism in place to collect and distribute the tax, consequently the existing CD levee is ignored by blank CD importers. My guess is that the same fate will befall the latest money grab attempt.

    Yup, I think the email virus/trojan problem is pretty much solved. However, the internet browser vulnerability problem still requires a lot of work. At home I only run Windows once a year to do my taxes, but at work all desktops are Windows based and then we all need to install Cygwin to get any work done - duh...

    Using Linux, I am quite spoilt, being able to click on anything with wild abandon. There is no good reason why Windows cannot be made to be equally strong. IMHO it is simply a lackadaisical attitude at MS that is the cause of the internet crapware problem.

    A Class Action lawsuit about knowingly selling defective goods, would certainly be a good idea and would be just as truly American a solution as bombing all houses with compromized Windows PCs...
