then why does man made smoke cause global warming?

It appears to me that if we remove the sulfur filters from coal fired power station smoke stacks, the earth will cool down again...
From what I read, man made smoke is only about 3% of the amount released by volcanos. So I don't think the spike in CO2 is entirely man made. I can remember my geography teacher blabbing about a spike in volcanism around the Pacific rim too.
The whole purpose of the climate change charade is to make Joe Public amenable to nuclear power stations. To any scientist, it is glaringly obvious that we need to build more nuclear power stations, but the Chernobyl incident made it political suicide for any politician to propose more nuclear power. The climate change PR campaign is carefully orchestrated to change that and it seems to be working, even the sun is playing its part.
Because these CD tarriffs and whatnot are not actually collected. There is no mechanism in place to collect and distribute the tax, consequently the existing CD levee is ignored by blank CD importers. My guess is that the same fate will befall the latest money grab attempt.
Think of the poor artists! Since they cannot make money from bad quality new music, they are forced to charge consumers multiple times for the same old music. Sniff...
Yup, I think the email virus/trojan problem is pretty much solved. However, the internet browser vulnerability problem still requires a lot of work. At home I only run Windows once a year to do my taxes, but at work all desktops are Windows based and then we all need to install Cygwin to get any work done - duh...
Using Linux, I am quite spoilt, being able to click on anything with wild abandon. There is no good reason why Windows cannot be made to be equally strong. IMHO it is simply a lackadaisical attitude at MS that is the cause of the internet crapware problem.
A Class Action lawsuit about knowingly selling defective goods, would certainly be a good idea and would be just as truly American a solution as bombing all houses with compromized Windows PCs...
Yup, it is all about making the individual files smaller and more regular. Kinda the opposite of XML.

Note that DSP is a real world application of statistics. Without it, Cellphones and the like would be impossible.
If it was that easy to make black holes, then cosmic rays could cause black holes...
I think Prof Hawking said that a collider capable of making black holes, would be the size of the solar system.
Uhh, what has President Fjord got to do with Norway?

Yup, that is the American way. At least, it worked consistently since WWII.

Yes. I copy CDs from the town library guilt free...
Hah! My paper tape player will be exempt from this money grab!
Hmm, hope they don't end in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a &rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&hs=zWi&q=us+to bacco+police+waco
Hmm, using a proven WWII strategy, the gov could intern all MS Windows users.
Sure, but smart bombs flying through the windows http://www.google.ca/search?q=flying+windows and hitting the PC Screen would be so much more cool...

TFA shows an image with a huge fingerprint in the middle of a crater. Either the lens is dirty or that was a very large Martian...
Time to try a different ringtone?
Never? Wow. Are you sure the ethernet cable is plugged in?
Jokes aside - viruses isn't a problem anymore. The problem is spyware.
The ultimate Shashdot effect - route the next article link through a Washington DC address...
If the Feds launch a B52, then I think a tin foil hat ain't gonna help. Even an asbestos suit won't help much.

Hmm, 'bombs' - so very American...
Samba does WINS. Samba runs on Mac. What is the problem?
