  1. Learning curve on Ask Slashdot: Is it Practical To Replace C With Rust? · · Score: 1

Rust is a language I feel I want to learn it when I saw it the first time after learned C,Java,Python. But as I go on, I found I must "Think in rust" and "Write code in rusty ways" to master it. Then I gave up.

  3. Tested, not that bad on Ask Slashdot: Is Non-USB Flash Direct From China Safe? · · Score: 1

I did bought some TF card with the price about $1/8GB when seeing the comment about "fake card", I did the test on a 32GB TF card. I write a 30GB file into it, and read it out. The data is OK. Only the speed, it said "class 10", but actually write at 3MB/s and read 12MB/s, using a micro-sd to usb adapter on my PC, which seems only "class 3" or "class 4". Writing 32GB data cost about 3 hours, so in case of 128GB may cost 12 hours!

  7. Re:Is Google blocked in China? on DuckDuckGo Now Blocked In China · · Score: 1

It was a time that google.hk could be visited in mainland, but now it totally results connection timeout. However the mail hosts of google are not blocked, otherwise not a single mail could be sent to gmail from China. It's painful, (even technical) sites are blocked or half blocked(very slow connections). That's why there is a big market of VPN for China nowadays.
