I am just as prepared for that as I am prepared for elves to take over our nuclear arsenal.
What if questions are fun but meaningless and - in this case - are designed to barrage us so we start instinctually taking these hypothetical questions seriously.
Considering that Bill Clinton got impeached for not admitting publicly that he'd been cheating on his wife, that scenario should get Trump removed from office very very quickly.
That's not why he was impeached. At the very least it is a dishonest oversimplification. He was impeached for perjury.
He was accused of sexual harassment and assault. In court, he lied about his sexual history to help create a false image of being a "family value's man" with a character incapable of the acts he was accused of doing.
The point on a mobile device is pretty dubious, actually. Who in the world would like to watch a move on the tiny little screen?
I prefer watching on my cell 6 inch 2 pound cell phone much more than lagging a laptop around. New generation of kids / 20 year olds don't even bother with computers or laptops for the most part - they have replaced those with phones and tablets.
But for you, I do get that it would not be beneficial.
TimeWarner in San Antonio already gets around the cord cutting by making it where basic cable is pretty much included with the cost of internet.
I save no money by canceling cable. I tried to cancel out of principal but then lost one of the bundle deals that had reduced the cost of my internet and suddenly made my bill go up. I hate them.
I see it as you're helping out Amazon for free. It used to be that retailers had product knowledge, and helped their customers choose products. Now, people such as yourself do it for Amazon for free, and Amazon reaps all of the rewards. You don't feel cheated, in that you give away your time for free, and Amazon makes money off of it?
You are assuming that he only leaves good reviews. His review might cause someone not to buy it.
Sometimes, someone puts a lot of research before purchasing it. They may feel like posting their research may save someone else some time if they have similar needs.
It seems like in your world, we would only have reviews from paid review sites and the companies, themselves. Customer reviews tend to be more honest.
At might last jb, we didn't until someone from HR accidentally sent to the whole company a spreadsheet with everyone's names, addresses, socials, and salary instead of the company picnic flyer.
That person was fired and the solution was to institute those limits.
Oh so very much this. We love to point at China and scream "It's all their fault", but those Chinese factories are predominantly making products for the Western world, and tailoring their processes to minimize the cost over all else as we specifically told them to do. If our companies were requiring them to have proper environmental controls and we were willing to pay the extra cost, I'm sure they'd be more than happy to make their factories cleaner.
They don't have to comply. They'd do it anyways and you know it.
China has not been know for it's clean air long before apple moved there.
True - otherwise the narrative would have just been what the mainstream media set - which has been demonstrated by wikileaks to be controlled (or at least heavily influenced) by the Clintons.
You want them to do what they said the republicans should not have been doing?
It would show them as even more hypocrites than they already are. Alternatively, it would justify what the republicans did.
And - outside of SCOTUS - they barely slowed Obama down. He just switched to executive orders. That said, it will make it easier for Trump to reverse what Obama did since he won't need congress to undo an executive order.
Hence: tax the rich, give their money to the poor, so they can buy stuff from the rich.
This is a joke, right? If I have to give someone my money to by my product, I might as well cease making my product - assuming that I had a desire to make money off my product (or even cover the cost of making the product.)
if a lot of people who didn't like Trump anyway hadn't used it as a convenient excuse to distance themselves from him. How Republicans react to stuff about Trump is not Clinton's responsibility, and is not really the media's responsibility.
I do agree with you on this.
The Republicans as a party are a corrupt and spineless group. I admire how the democrats back and defend their own no matter what terrible thing they did or allegedly did.
I cannot respect a party that has no loyalty or backbone. I wanted Cruz to win because his values and polices where more in line with mine. But he didn't win and I moved forward.
Watching Trump go on the offense against the Republican and Democratic establishments as well as the press has been a real pleasure to watch. It is great watching someone finally trying to lift the curtain of corruption.
So if it was an American releasing these documents, it would be worth looking at? While that is very nationalist of you, discounting information just because it came from another country supports a pretty isolationist view.
It's interesting watching a lot of the hypocrisy of this election. The most recent when Trump said he might contest the results depending on what information we have at the time. For the party that contest the Gore/Bush vote and then loudly used it to discredit Bush's presidency for much of his first four years, it crazy watching them act like Trumps answer is a threat to the very foundation of our democracy,
The reason the information is ignored is it is, at best, very weak circumstantial evidence of any wrongdoing, where "wrongdoing" does not even bear any semblance to a crime, but merely some slightly embarrassing kind of cozying up.
But an 11 year old tape of a man talking crude is worth days of non-stop coverage? (I am talking about before the accusations came out.)
I'd go so far as to say that Wikileaks has lost all credibility with him still around.
He has made it clear it is no longer an independent actor, so everything Wikileaks does from now will be tainted with his bias.
I don't understand this feeling. Does the motive even matter other than to fact check the information he is releasing? That should should be done regardless of motivation. His motive is just as likely fear knowing as Secretary of State, she was ok killing him via drone and is afraid what she will do to him as president.
To make things more perplexing, Hillary and the media aren't even trying to dispute any of the information's validity. The only argument they are making is that it's not fair that what they are doing has been made public.
He is outing government corruption and massive press confusion.
I do not understand how the media can spend hundreds of hours more time on an unverified harassment claim regarding an incident never brought up before that supposedly took place 20 years ago than on actual alleged current corrupt government activities.
If this is any indicator, do you honestly believe that the press will stop their collusion with Hilary when she becomes president and start becoming journalists again? She will have close to unchecked power - especially knowing that the media will destroy anyone that opposes her.
he would have released all this information weeks ago before they cut off his internet. By parceling it out over the course of October as we get closer and closer to the election, makes him appear more and more like a political player and dissident with an axe to grind...and probably isn't winning him friends at the Embassy.
Kind of like how all the harassment accusations waited until October? Or how that tape from 2005 of Trump saying nasty things was sat on until October?
There is a big difference between "the government is keeping information from the people and they need to know it right now" and "I have information that I think the people need to know about specific things that I support. But I'm going to wait until the right time and place, as determined by me, to release it."
I agree. I feel exactly the same way about how Obama's FBI is releasing the documents they have from Hilary's investigation in pieces making people tired of the story before we even have the complete picture.
That said, I have a feeling that Assange releasing all the documents have more to do with him knowing that she was ok with us killing him via drones than any love of Trump.
I don't think you realize how launching nukes actually works. He can't do this on his own. He doesn't have a red button on his desk.
At least one other person needs to approve the order and then needs to convince people actually in the position to launch the nukes to do it.
I am just as prepared for that as I am prepared for elves to take over our nuclear arsenal.

Where do you get that the anonymous coward is alt-right?
It's usually the left worried about corporations over-extending and abusing the rights of its consumers.
Or now that a republican is back in office is it corporations evil than government?

I think we must have - KCI?

It hasn't been eliminated. He is not in office yet nor has he approached congress with any legislation requests for this.
The what-if articles get redundant after a while. Fortuneteller, the frequency they are coming out makes it very easy to see them for what they are.

Yeah - and I thought we (general audience on slashdot) wanted that deal blocked.
It's strange seeing my liberal brethren suddenly want a larger more powerful corporation - and ATT no less!
Doubting the electoral process and its integrity is a threat to democracy - per Hillary Clinton

I think you need to actually watch it instead of go by what hufington post, politico and other liberal sites state.
Fox news has a very large segment that is as anti-trump as you can get. Two prominent examples that come to mind are Shepard Smith and Megan Kelly.

Pretty much the only Michael Moore movie I like.
It is. That's what, a few pennies an hour? What other paid activity can compare to that?

They are probably all Russians! lol
