And if you buy the Apple hype that OS X is a UNIX the Windows vs *NIX battle is 14 to 11.

Leopard is UNIX it's not hype... I use the CLI and its *nix utilities almost every day.

  2. Read the TFA! on US Teen Trades Hacked iPhone for Nissan 350Z · · Score: 5, Insightful

He was given the car by a guy who owns a mid-sized cell phone repair shop in the midwest. This guy (Certicell)'s getting massive publicity out of the hoopla surrounding the unlock. The unlocked iPhone isn't worth a 350Z. Getting mentioned on every news-outlet and riding the coattails of Hotz's fifteen minutes of fame is worth a 350z.

  3. Re:Airbags on Six Minutes of Terror - Landing Humans on Mars · · Score: 1

Rolly, tumbly airbags aren't a great idea when us meatbags are inside, we tend not to deal well with my flipped over multiple times, and the initial impact speed would be pretty high.

  8. Re:A briliant mac review ;-) on Does Sophos' Switch Argument Hold Water? · · Score: 1

From the site, "When I consider that a good deal of my time is spent running applications like Disk Defragmenter, Scandisk, Norton AV, Windows Update and Ad-Aware--none of which are available for the Mac platform--it doesn't make sense for me to "switch" to a Mac at this time." Either the whole review is tongue in cheek, or it is the most factually inaccurate review ever (using the Shuffle marketing language for the mini, etc.)
