Is this new news its been on imbd.com for a while now. I also heard that the two of them were thinking of working on Philip K Dick's "A Scanner Darkly" but someone else got the rights first.
As an actually subscriber to newscientist I have read the artical (in print).
It starts with a breirf history of P2P systems (focusing on the modern music sharing ones).
It then goes on to talk about Gnutellas technological downfalls. The main part of the artical is taken up with the method that by which freenet works
Its a good articale that talks quite a bit about the technologys and only breifly touches on copyright issues.
The way that WhiteWolf somewhat overstaes their games is true but I can't deny that these things are what the games are about. I ran a V:tm group a while back but since it was being taken so casualy it fell apart
And as for the way they play in names for everything I think thats pretty neat.
All of these games have the opertunity to be played at meny levels of what WhiteWolf would 'like' you to play - they guides are just that guides. As long as the group you play in all want the same it can work.
I've seen the guy who invented this on TV a while ago. At parties in his office building he would stand up on balconys and 'beam' the sounds of glasses smashing to the waiters below.
Now all we need now is an umbrella with an mp3 player and one of these attached to it... then wait for a rainny day.
