In school I played on the hockey and ruby teams because that is what made you socially acceptable.
I was much more interested in science but hid the fact. It helped me socially that I usually ended up sitting in the hall during math and science classes. The other students assumed it was punishment but it was actually because I aready knew all the material. The teachers would privately tell me to find something constructive to do.
I grew up to be an engineer, my daughter couldn't believe it when she found out I was actualloy not concideed a geek in school.
Happens in Winnipeg, MB right now. Vechile gets caught speeding by a camera. Registered owner gets 167.00 speeding ticket for going 13 km/h ( about 8 miles/h ) over the speed limit.
No kidding. This guy must of lived to close to the US border and was using their format.
Remember the first time I crossed the border to legally buy beer in the US. The clerk looked at my ID and asked how I could have been born in the 13th month. I told her Canada has 13 months in its year as we have an extra month of winter:)
