    Lets do the math.... It took 30 years to get there. So, if an ET finds it today and decides to take action, I guess your earliest answer will come just in time for football season in the fall of 2036. Maybe JoPa will still be coaching.

    Again, advancement of space research. If theres a supernova or a freak sunspot that can harm us, you can bet that theres some scientist out there monitoring it and a capitalist looking over his shoulder looking for a way to cash in on it.

    Not so sure that any kind of super sunglasses or windshield visor will protect us from an exploding supernova! Ever see the movie gone in 60 seconds? Vaporized!

    No expert here, but I do recall reading some commentary about string theory predicting multiple universes. The potential importance of this research is that gravity waves may be the only way to communicate between multiple universes!!!! (unless T-mobile installs some new cell towers in the other universes). Understanding and detecting them could lead to some future communication revolution.
