I am all in favor of examing the government's actions and policies in order to find out what they really are up to. However I do not think it is too hard understand why a cockpit full sensitive electronic equipment should not be subjected to electromagnetic waves from every person's cell phone who wants to use it on an airplane.
It sounds like this process would be a lot easier to create the quantum computing effect and substain it. Given the amazing promises that quantum computers offer, I can't help but get exicted. I hope that they continue to deliver on their promises. The future is so exicting.
How awesome is this yet anouther step for quantum computers. One by one they are solving the technical difficulties of using particles in their quantum state to accomplish computing. Given the amazing possibilites of quantum computers, I get exicted everytime they take anouther step foward.
I think "normal" people need 'strange' in the article to make it more intresting for them. I do find that this article makes me think about the universe differently; less star bound really.
Your advisors should be able to give a lot more information about jobs for math majors with a BS, or at least know where to find such information. Plus talk to your math instructors as well, they have experienced finding a job with a math degree, not all of them started out begin teachers, you can build contacts this way. I short use the natural resources available.

I wondered that also, they haven't truly adressed this issue, at least not to my satifaction. The basics begin that the abudant electrons from the metal act as a shield and a container for the radation, forcing it inside. The extreme cooling makes nuclear fusion much more likely, the over all effect of drastically reducing the half life of the waste. This process is intended for radium-226 and supposedly works, they haven't specfically tested radium-226 yet, because of the type of radiation it produces, it is one of the more toxic and radioactive, having a 10,000 year half life, elements produced in nuclear waste. This process is a long shot, it disagrees with solid state physics, and has been supposedly previously tested. I hope it works though, it would change nuclear power and the world forever.
Whooo! Way to go Japan, at least they are planning for the future. You don't see them plunging into war after war, deplete their resources and manpower. A moon base in my life time, very exicting.
Maybe the cooling process, disapates the heat, that disapated heat has an effect on the radition, if you were cooling this material to such a low tempeture, wouldn't you be removing, energy i.e heat and radiation. I was to see this done and have it verified many times before I believe this. This, if it is true would change the world forever. Or its a promo ad from the atomic energy council!!??
First off your are all nicer than me. My advice is simple, if she breaks it, she can pay to have it fixed. You set her computer up, it worked when you left, if she crashes it or what ever, she can pay to fix it. You are not her slave, she needs to take resposability for her actions, and learn to fix her own problems. While I am admittedly ignorant in the field of computers, (I'm learning, I'm learning), I am not ignorant in the field of people taking advantage of your good will and generosity. Stand up to her, make her deal with the problem she is creating, you'll both be better off for it.
I think your right, unfortantely all of these creationist and radical religous groups, (the christans, where at war with the islamic ones), are undermining science and basic rational thought. Hey I'm religous, I believe in God, you don't see me forcing my beliefs down everyones throats!!!
