I'm using the GNS3 software with some IOS stuff to help prepare for the the CCNA exam. Sure beats paying the money for the extra hardware laying around the house just for learning and testing purposes.
What does this mean? That they have desks at the opposite corners of the building?
ZAM, to my knowledge was still handled out of Philly, while the rest of the sites were handled elsewhere.
As for the data-mining process, the databases and client list were and I believe still are, completely seperate. Yes, the compaines such as IGE would regularly hotlink items they are selling to sites such as Thottbot and Alla, but I know when I was working for Alla, even after the merger, we would still block the access to hotlink items from the IGE site. The only way Alla and Thott ever got the item and quest database was from the users, and to my knowledge that database was never opened to anyone until Ogaming became part of the ZAM network and the sites merged together to share the same database information.
Now keep in mind, I haven't worked for the site in over a year and a half, so things may have drastically changed in the time that all this happened, i'm just relating the information as I knew it then.
And what kind of morality issue do you see? Yes, I don't believe in RMT, but sites like Alla, Thott, etc have help me out when I got stuck on something. It's like buying the strategy guide for a console game, most of the time it will tell you what to do, and maybe there is some end user comments on how it's done. I don't see any issues there, that kind of thing has been around for a long time.
As for the RMT thing, yea I think it's deplorable that some people find it neccessary to pay someone to powerlevel a brand new avater to the highest level, when you lose the experience and fun of doing it yourself. Not saying it doesn't get tedious and sometimes boring, but there is a definite advantage of doing it yourself, mainly you know what the hell you are doing.
I used to work for Allakhazam, and I was employed around the time of the Affinity Media/Allakhazam merger, and I can tell you, before the owners of Allakhazam.com signed any papers to sell the site, they wanted to make sure that the site was as far removed from the IGE portion of the company as possible. Their stance has always, and probably will always be that the selling of virtual currency degrades the experience for everyone.
There was a huge uproar on the forums about this merger just for the possibility of there being gold selling ads on the site, and the site lost a few subscribers based on the fact the Affinity would be involved somehow. But it was always the stance of the admins and owners of the Allakhazam site that RMT ads were not tolerated in any way, and worked hard to stamp out those ads.
God those things are awful. I could understand using them for the DS, especially for games like Animal Crossing, because you don't want some random guy coming in and messing up your town, but on Wii it's just horrible.
Your actual code is buried in a menu in the address book portion. I've added 3 friend whos have Wii's into my address book, and they say they have added me too, but no confirmation or it working has appeared yet. I've tried to send WiiMail to them but they never get it.
The same people on my 360 gamertag list, they get the messages I send, even the ones with voice almost instantanously.
If this helps alleviate the usage of friend codes, i'm all for it.
no games. Can anyone who doesn't have a PS3 name two games currently available for it not available anywhere else?
Resistence and the crappy Gundam game. Both launch titles.
There also Motostorm, which was more impressive as a demo than as the real game.
Actually, some console games have patching functions built into them. Look at EverQuest Online Adventures for the PS2. Sure the save file takes up half of your memory card, but when SOE send out a new patch, your game gets upgraded.
Also there is patching of sorts for when EA Sports releases new roster updates.
On the other side, you have the 360 and XBOX Live, which does patch games. I can think of at least three games that have received honest to goodness patches. PGR3, Oblivion, and Major Leagues Baseball 2k6 each received PC style patches. And don't forgoet about the "smaller patches" of the downloadable content available over Live.

Daikatana!!!
Metal Frogs FTW!!!!
Seriously, I haven't liked a Zelda game since A Link To The Past. The 3d look isn't what made Zelda, Zelda.
I honestly don't know what I would put as the greatest game of all time, but it wouldn't be that one.

I've had my Wii for a grand total of 4 days
