Here's the problem. Intelligent people with decent coding knowledge created a free piece of software that sounds pretty good. Ebay appearantly doesn't want them to use it, and started raising a ruckus. But what happens when hundreds of people with programming skills start doing things like this, especially if computer programming becomes part of high school curriculum? ( http://it.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=07/05/15/142 0238 ) One day, the flood will hit, Ebay, Microsoft, Apple, and everything else will collapse, and the Open Source Community will rejoice.
I wonder what when the pictures of these students will somehow mysteriously show up on ebay, with rewards for eliminating these enemies of a global conglomerate.
rather, microsoft will pass laws for minimum battery life requirements, blatantly ignore them, and throw a tantrum if any Dell of HP computers violate them.
Sir, while I may not have a vocabulary that can rival your own, I believe that I have reading skills at least comparable to your own. I am a student with a college-graduate reading level since the 5th grade, yet I still enjoy this series. Why? Well, like a very few amount of others, such as the "Alice" series, I believe that Mrs. Rowling manages to make real personalities for her characters. Emotions, reactions, and even their own actions all seem genuine and real, as opposed to characters that have seemed forced from other writers. This is why millions of adults AND children read her books.
Personally, I'm just waiting for a book warehouse employee to steal a copy, scan it into his computer, and sell it online for 2 bucks a pop. I guarantee someone will be sued for doing something similiar to this.
Whether or not you believe it, people can and do sell online accounts and items for RW money. I think the going rate on ebay right now is something like $1 U.S. dollar for 3,000 platinum pieces. Maybe one person doesn't sell an entire account for ten thousand dollars, but selling a bunch of people $50 dollars worth of online MMORPG items, it can add up really fast. I'm just glad that runescape, my MMORPG of choice, has never allowed people who sell items for real world money to keep their accounts. Thats not to say that people don't get caught, but most do.
I can see how a parent might see the classification as pressure, however, you are mistaken when you thought that my parents let me get this game. I wish. They won't let me get any M games, be it GTA, Bully,(not that i would anyways, it doesn't really look that good) or halo. The thing is, when i look at my classmates who's parents let them get these games, i see either kids who are idiots, stupid parents, or both. Yes, i will get grand theft auto San Andreas when i can, as my older brother did, but my parents won't let me, so unless i somehow sneak it in the house, which would not be worth the trouble, i will have to wait untill i'm 18. By the way, one of the things keeping me from buying the game off ebay or something is fear of my parents if they found out, not difficulty in getting the game itself.
As for saying society should care for children, it's true, but the parents should at least know where their children are. Otherwise videogames might not be a problem, the 11th grader selling drugs would be.
I actually kind of agree with the idea that women get more free stuff then men do in MMORPG's, since i have seen it first hand. I don't play WoW, but i am an avid runescpae player. For some reason, when i was in the town every new player spawns from, i heard someone(correction: read the words)ask for help. This person had a name that implied she was female. I don't know why, but i helped her, and for the record,i have never helped anyone else, other than the odd direction to varrock or two. And, curiously enough, my avatar name is manfighter22. I don't know why it is, since i am a male, but maybe it was because i was freaking tired of typing in names and finding out someone else had taken it already. But i know from experience that some online characters try to get free stuff, and now a lot of the time its people saying they are teenage girls. don't ask me why, i only play the game, and kill the odd paserby or two, or three, or four if none of them are mages.
Yeah, the bible does have a lot of that, but come on. What do you think is going to capture a teenagers attention more. Reading the bible, or going out wit your homies and capping some ballas?
Rockstar knows that their games capture the attention of teenagers, I should know, i'm 14, and thats how they sell their games. Should they be allowed to make these games? sure. If the parents don't want their kids playing them, then don't buy it for them. The big M on the box doesn't stand for mild.
Well, i don't know if anyone has said this, but my dad is a subscriber to AOPA magazine, and i read every issue that comes out. There isn't a whole lot of small charter-flights in the number your looking for, but fear not cliff. More and more aircraft designers-makers are making small jet aircraft just for this purpose. You might have to wait a while, but the number of available small airplane charter flights is already starting to go up, and it looks like it is going to stay like that. Totally off the subject, but have you considered getting your own pilots license?

What was the first reason, boycotting Microsoft and Internet Explorer?
Or they just decided to piss off a big coorporation for kicks.

Actually, I think I'd prefer to see it on ABC. "The Mobackers," right between the 14 different versions of CSI, and Numb3rs.
careful. He might be on his blackberry, "discussing 'things'" with an ice man.

Something tells me that Jason Fox had a hand in creating this OS. To quote him, "Tentacles locked and awaiting your command."
