If you're stupid enough to play atari while driving. You deserve to get into an accident. You also deserve to have your insurance pay for whatever damage to who's ever car you hit, and do have your rates go sky high for being an idiot.

Cell phones arn't the problem people.. the people that drive while doing stupid shit like playing with their cell phone will find some other distraction to get them into an accident.

What he is saying is that the GPL gets tossed around as THE "free" open-source license. But there are other choices.. One of them (the BSD) is actually more "free" because you can use parts of it in a commercial product and not HAVE to release the new code to the public. And that is true, the BSD license does give you more freedom, and with more freedom, you have more of a responsibility, part of that being to give back to the community that you borrowed from. But the BSD gives you the freedom to make that choice on your own, the GPL does not, it forces you to conform.

Germany is either already, or going to ban smoking while driving. And until they ban eating, drinking (non-alcholic beverages), listening to the radio, and other such distractions. They should leave cell phones alone.

Some studies have even pointed out that after you hang up the phone and think about your recent conversation is more likely to cause an accident then when you were on the phone. Are we going to ban thinking while driving now too?? Oh yeah, no more talking to your passengers as well.

If you pushed hard enough I bet you could get a Golf GTI in the Beetle's Reflex color.

Your GPS doesn't altitude from pressure. The reason your altitude was wrong was that you didn't have a good 3D sat. fix.

The eTrex Summit I had does to it by pressure, It said it was accurate up to 13ft, and it showed 4 sats connected (max on that screen, I probably had more). If you go into the diag screen it actually shows you the pressure. It was saying I was at 5k feet.

However, you were in violation of airline regs using a GPS receiver on an aircraft (unless you had permission from the captain). You just didn't get caught.

I didn't have permission, and they did see it. They didn't have a problem with me using it (flight attendents). They never did ask the captian.

Also, a lot of flights have phones that you can use on the plane, that's not much different.

Now, about the crew and pilot.. They offer alchol on plane, and the pilots arn't off getting drunk. What's to make you think they're gonna be surfing pr0n or IMing their friends.
