How does it not or is it supposed to work? I can quickly encrypt .doc files but not inside word. Didnt know I was supposed to be able to. I can do clipboard encryption and since I can copy a whole word doc to the clipboard, then its not so bad I guess?

  2. Student License on PGP's New Release, Source Code, and PRZ · · Score: 2

You know - when PGP was owned by NAI I had no qualms just warezing it. I loved PGP disk and a few other PGP things. Just quick encryption of files was nice. A little tighter encorporation with Outlook and taking up less recourses would be very cool.

Now that its PGP not owned by NAI, I really want to own and use and promote this product. I however have no money as a college student. However, as a college student I think I would REALLY benefit from PGP. Not only keeping email between advisors and other students encrypted but also just keeping my personal records safe on the "wonderfully" secure campus network.

    Anyhoo, just my thought trinkles.

I have yet to see something I have wanted for years. I want Legos on my PC. Basically, it needs to be very EASY just like Legos. Second, it has to be full rotational 3d. Third, every peice lego has ever made needs to exist and work right, including the gimick peices as I always called them (Magnets) etc. Also, all the ground peices so I could lay out a city, or base or whatever is needed. I always wanted the big train from the late 80s. If all the sets were loaded in, that would rock my world too! (ie, I could quickly load a prebuilt set model from my childhood and quickly look at it in and out and deconstruct it like I did IRL))

I dont need things like facial animations and plot. Also, fun things to add would be stress testing. Oh, almost forgot. I have to be able to put some peices on in almost strange ways. I did that a lot and I always thought that was part of the sheer genuis that is Lego. Oh, if this has not been done and someone gets the idea to do this then consider it started and GPL'd, but lets try to get official Lego support. I dont want it to be "Supar Bloqs!" or some dumb shit.

How long does an area stay "hot" after a nuke goes off?

    Examples:

How long after Aug 6 1945 was Hiroshima safe from a radiation standpoint?

How long until areas that had LOTS of bombs dropped on them be safe?

What about more modern bombs. If one were to take a top of the line bomb from the US and detonate it, how long until the area would be safe for humans again?

Also, what does one do if a nuke goes off anywhere near them, other then kiss their ass goodbye? What can you do to avoid radiation poison? I always thought the key was to stay away from metal since that becomes contaminated quickly, but hell if I know.

Blame the movie Sum of all Fears for this curiosity. To ruin it for you, when the nuke goes off and it shows this big shockwave, I figured anything that gets hit by that is going to be contaminated. In my head this means you are going to get cancer sometime soon.

Also, slightly related, can someone explain the EMP to me? I thought Sum of all Fears really fucked that one up but some people have said the EMP is really weak and doesnt travel very far. In another movie, Broken Arrow, the EMP goes out for Miles and Miles. In True Lies, they land the planes and shit before the nuke goes off for which I assume was to avoid an EMP related crash.

Oh, assume all detonations are ground detonations, but if you know the answer for atmosphere that would be cool too but how high up?

What about transfering mp3 audio notes of class, etc?

The simple sollution is to allow more bandwidth for certain ip blocks that have been aproved for high bandwidth usage. On top of that, it drives me crazy that any of my data can be seen by the dorks in resnet much easier then when im on a normal ISP.

For the AC that said get off the dorm connection, I can not. We arent allowed to dial out on our lines for modem access, and I sure cant get DSL or even cable. All I have is university. Why do I live in dorms? Because Im putting myself through college and I have no $$.

So, I figure the internet will help me. So, I fireup ol kazaa lite. I do a search for Rigoletto and find exactly what I want. So, I start to download. I am getting literally HUNDREDS of BYTES per second. Mother FUCKER. So, I let kazaa do its magic and its downloading from 4 people and all at ass speeds. I message one of the people I am downloading from and he says he is on a company T1 line and has great speeds. So, I am being raped by my university.

Well, I call up the communications people. I tell them whats up and they say its illegal for me to download music from kazaa and that if I don't stop they will take away my connection. I told him the hell it is, Verdi's Rigoletto has been in the public domain for hundred + years and that is bullshit. He hung up on me after I said bullshit. I called back and got the same guy. I asked for his supervisor and the supervisor told me using kazaa was against campus policy. I asked him to point it out to me and he told me that I can not download copyrighted materials. I said fine, this is not a copyrighted material, so give me my bandwidth. He told me I was just SOL. They kept asking for my room # but I refused. The last thing I need is them trying to cut my fucking connection off.

    God damn bastards.

Now that mom uses the computer for email too damn much and dad has found the joys of net porn and the kids cant get enough of downloading thousands of songs on kazaa that they will NEVER listen to, its time for two if not three PCs in the house. On top of that, there is cheap wireless networking which makes such a crazy cooky idea even more feasable. The sales monkeys need not to be saying trash your old PC and get a new one - they need to say, its time for PC #2.
