While a slingatron does with the forces involved. Of course as i said neither is as good as a mass driver with current materials/tech. And Rockets just work well for what they do. Better tech makes rockets better too.

Seriously give a proper reference. There is nothing that suggests that an only mammal diet would make the consumer more toxic to eat. Their physiology is just not different enough. What bioaccumulation is specific to just mammals that is neutralized by eating some non mammal food? It does not make any logical sense.

I have eaten cats just fine, and this is wild cat in NZ forest. You need some poisons to accumulate in the first place and this happens in fish too, yet we eat them just fine. In fact most fish are carnivores of carnivores.

Sure if you just eat cat that may not be good for you over a life time. But then eating just rabbit isn't either. And rabbit is much more tasty than cat.

These proposed manned space flight missions *are* pointless. They are a waste of resources and won't achieve anything. The will not achieve self sustaining space colonies *ever*. And yes we can know that we have quite a time. At least centuries and millennial with very high probability, and a true human extinction event we till the sun makes earth uninhabitable in a few billion years! Unless you don't believe the data. In which case how is more science or manned space mission going to improve your decision making?

Its a moot point anyway. The billions NASA would need to send a fish to the moon will only materialize in the form a pork. Won't amount to much and meanwhile progress will march forward on all fronts regardless and in spite of NASA. Soon enough manned space flight cheap enough for the masses will happen. It may take a century or so. But meh, as far as species preservation goes, that's nothing. And besides, with will a large hunk of rock. It won't wipe us out here anyway.

You know that newer planes need the computer to fly. Also you need the hydraulics, engines etc. They are all machines that need to be reliable otherwise the pilot makes no difference at all. Because one machine uses electricity does not make it less safe or less of a machine or for that matter less important for some aircraft. And then we train pilots to behave and respond like a machine.... Which doesn't work out that well in practice.

Sure there are a lot of planes out there that have little of the modern fly by wire stuff and all that. But that is not the same as pilots are not the issue when it comes to safety. How many are killed each year due to "pilot error". How many are saved? Be careful of Truthiness here.
