But wait a minute. I don't want a computer with freaking Linux. I just want Sony to sell me a computer with BeOS pre-installed. Why in the world nobody has this option? (See the stupidity of this discussion?) Sony just sells whatever they want. You want a to buy a computer with FreeBSD? Good luck.
Does that apply to your Ubuntu/Mint/Caldera....(add your fav distro here) as well? How can you be sure that the binaries you are using are compiled from the source they are distributing? Or do you compile your distro youself after reviwing every line of code? useful idiot!
Did you ever think about the fact that Macbook air doesn't give you the option to replace the battery (yourself) and this might be a nice moneymaker for apple?
In the mean time...I'm working in my desktop machine, saving to my own disk (with automatic backup to my server AND my machine at work) and getting my mail into my own server not depending one ounce on any cloud services. Life is good.
And more... I'll tell you a thing Larry. Stop trying to stick G+ up our...
Yesterday I was checking my AdSense account. On the first page I got a "reminder" this BIG: Have you already gotten a G+ account? That will help you maximize your ads profits, blah blah... Yes Larry I already HAVE one G+ account (that I have used once or twice to just check it out and see what its greatness is). Didn't see the greatness anywhere.
Oh and stop bothering me with it on my Analytics account as well.
That didn't prevent other giants of traditional photography like Canon and Nikon to evolve and adapt to the new era, successfully competing again the new kinds.
And say what you want about Windows: Windows interface is to this moment unsurpassed in it's functionality and simplicity (at leat the classical 95/2000 on which KDE is based). OSXs finder with all it's annoyances and,,so shiny/no content,, is, unfortunately gaining terrain with copycats (god save us).
It's cool and hip here on slashdot to suppose that everyone is looking for solutions to leave Windows and that it can't be possible to like it. Well, I like Windows (Windows 7 is almost godly perfect for me), I hate OSX with a passion but unfortunately I need to use it at work. I have 3 Linux servers that I use because of price reasons. On the desktop, I don't look for anything else at the moment. I like the "Windows 7 experience": it's stable, fast, reliable, most software runs on it. So, sue me.
Your router != you but YOU have the responsibility for what happenings behind **your** router. This is the kind of/. romanticism that is so hard to kill, unfortunately... You cannot let people use your house as a sacrifice place to offer children to Ra and get away with it just because your house != you.
The summary sounds like a WoW quest. It should have ended with a
"Lobuno, please could you get me 12 crab shells from the Abyss?".
Sorry... too much WoW this last mon
You are already granting full access to Google by the grace of Android... Where is the panic?
I'm so glad for the three of you, UT users!
You mean, nobody is installing Sony software these days after the rootkit incident 2012? Right.

There are more women working at MS that women contributing to the Linux community.

Desktop shortcuts aren't "live". Tiles are.
If you are still running W2000, then Flash, Acrobat, etc are the least of your concerns.

Really, that was expected after his liver transplantation back in 2008. We could all see that his health was declining... Oh well... RIP, Rob.
No need to do that. Just scroll the page 3 miles down. There are the answers.

Not every time. I'm not interesting in getting into an edit war with someone trying to push an agenda.
Perhaps it's **you** who have an agenda... Who knows...
Perhps I'm dense. And the problem is...?
Well, don't go if you don't want. I'll sure go. I'm not religious and i'll have a good time.
