Can anyone say Tanx 'n' Stuff?Sounds a lot like the old shareware Amiga game, Tanx 'n' Stuff (Assassins Games Pack, #184).
Used to be that Galaxians, Pacman and Worm were getting a reworking on the Amiga in the form of Deluxe Galaga, Deluxe Pacman and Megaworm... now it's the Amiga shareware's turn for the remix. Hooray!
We've even seen Populous get a rebirth with Lionhead's Black & White, and Quake with Half-Life's Deathmatch Classic. I wouldn't be surprised in five years time to see a reworking of GTA or Baldur's Gate 2. (Takers, anyone?)

Remote controls are for NEWBIES!Build yourself an infrared interface like the AIR-Link (it's on Aminet, find it yourself
;)). Link it up to your 'box' (that's l33t sp33k for 'computer') and go program some driver software for it; shouldn't be too hard. Set up scripts on your own machine to change the channel as you wish!Best part about it is, it's not limited to a preset number of different devices. All you need is a few infrared LEDs pointed in the right direction and the control software can control everything as long as you can tell it how exactly your target device's IR system works.
Command-line control of your TV, now that's what I'm talkin' about... remote controls and GUI are for newbies!

Sounds like Stroke (an Amiga prog)This reminds of an old Amiga program that came on the front cover floppy of some magasine a few years ago. It allowed you to launch certain programs by doing simple gestures like squares and so on. Anyhow I tried it for a few weeks but the novelty value wore off after a while...
Ah found it on the Aminet - it was called Stroke. So there ya go.

Re:Does anyone remember the annoying disk drive cl
Disk drive click is not and has never been an issue in Amigas.
It was originally related to the fact that the drive mechanism (especially in older drives) cannot tell whether a new disk has been inserted unless you move the R/W heads from one track to another - hence the clicking.
However, in most (if not almost all) drives you can actually work around this, so there have been system patches available to prevent clicking as long as I can remember. -
